Okay, this shit just has GOT to fucking stop. The Yankees are already down the greatest hitter of this generation, Aaron Judge, as well as Giancarlo Stanton, and now Trent Grisham, one of the hottest Yankees of the last month or so, is ALSO out? This is very annoying shit.
Anthony Volpe is never leaving the active roster, is he?
Hopefully Grisham had only a minor hamstring strain, and he’ll return soon enough. In the meantime, let’s hope that Boone just plays Dominguez and Jones every day and sees what their deal is. I wonder if a move for Nick Castellanos makes any sense at this point. You could always give him a couple of games in right against lefties, and then DFA him when Stanton returns (or if he’s just TERRIBLE).
It would be nice if Schlittler could have another good game today. Don’t want the Blue Jays to start getting this attitude of being able to kick the ass of EVERY Yankee pitcher.
Giancarlo Stanton felt a tweak/twinge in his calf while running bases this week, Aaron Boone said. More imaging is possible. Boone had expected Stanton to return early this coming homestand, that is now in jeopardy.
I’m shocked
Stanton? Oh, Stanton.
Maybe he should retire
Congratulations to Gaussmsn on his no hitter. Tough luck loss Cam
No video, just GD.
Liking the strikeouts. Not liking the baserunners.
Not liking the home run.
Game?
Liking the home run!
Oh, Jasson is here. And he hits a HR.
Too many pitches, Cam.
Gausman is not this good. For heaven’s sake, just hit the guy a little.
Out of challenges in the bottom of the 4th. Jazz should only be allowed to challenge in super high leverage situations. Pitchers should not be allowed to challenge. Let the catcher do it.
If only Jazz could borrow Judge’s sense of the strike zone.
Looking at that walk to Springer. The pitches don’t look like they were anywhere near the zone. That’s not him.
Mid season dead arm Cam?
And again. Ball 3 was probably (barely) a strike, but the other pitches weren’t close. CS generally pounds the zone. What is this?
Should’ve named him Or instead.
Ugh, 84 pitches through 5.
Turning Gausman into Koufax.
Amazing that a Schlitter with this little command of the zone and this many baserunners STILL only gives up 1 run over 6 innings!
But I’m also getting kind of sick of saying that. Can we have the Schlittler back who walks nobody and cruises through seven and gives up nothing at least some of the time again?
GAUSMAN IS NOT THAT F*ING GOOD, PEOPLE!
What’s the injury delay?
A gutsy 7-innings by Cam.
Yes. But give me a less gutsy, pounding the zone dominant seven innings next time, can you?
A Yankee catcher got a hit!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
Don’t worry the pen will do the job
Great idea, walk the first two batters.
Cruz turning back into a wild pumpkin?
When he’s good he’s very good but when he’s bad he’s wild.
Crazy game.
Hurray for the old guy. Where would we be without him? And off Varland.
PGold is at 889.
Three walks and no runs was very Yankees-like by the Blue jays. Then Goldy goes 💥 with a 2-run HR. How will Bednar blow this?
Where, oh where would this team be without Constanpaulo Goldschmidtez?!
How did Cabby strike out on a pitch that was behind him?!
Very UnBednar like save.
Yay, win!
Yay, good Bednar!
Wow! Three K’s and no drama by Bednar. Nice. And a nice win too.
More importantly, they got a hit from the catcher’s position!
Yamamoto loses perfect game after 7.2 on an errod by Betts.
Yankees MILB 6/12: George Lombard Jr. Homers Twice. (June OPS 984 per 42 ABs)
SS George Lombard Jr.: 2-for-5, 2B (9), HR (3), RBI, 2 R, K
The home run was right down the left field line (326 feet in Scranton). I mention that because Savant didn’t record an exact distance, but it wasn’t much further than that. It was hit at 95.3 MPH. The double, meanwhile, was hit at 100.4 MPH.
Lalane did his best to make me change the headline. Last four starts: 0.42 ERA (21.2 IP, 8 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 HR, 6 BB, 30 K). Tonight, he hit 97.5 MPH with his 4-seam fastball (averaged 93.9, which I will question because pitches in the low-80s were registering as “4-seam fastballs” on Savant) and generated seven whiffs on eight swings with his slider (20 whiffs on 47 swings overall). Regardless of the accuracy of the Savant data, this is an impressive run. Stay healthy.

Well if his 2027 is like Rodons 2025 I’ll take it
Knicks win championships and Yankees move into sole possession of first place. What a day!
