Something was wrong with Rogers earlier in the season. Hopefully it’s still a problem, as he can be DOMINANT when healthy.
Warren had his first awful start of the season last time around. Let’s see if he can rebound. If not, it’s hard to imagine him winning the rotation spot over Weathers.
PGold is alive and well.
After Rosario, the Abyss.
Warren is going to be 35 years old and will still look like he’s just figuring it out as he goes along.
We need to score one more and Warren to go 6 shutout with the pen entering in the 7th.
Jesus, he KEEPS hitting it hard and right at people!
When Max Schuemann is not only batting ahead of you, but RIGHTLY batting ahead of you, you know you suck.
What the fuck, Wells?
Do the Yankees actually need to acquire a righthanded catcher who can hit?
Ben Rice HR +550, Wells +575. Huh?
Noooooooooooo clue.
This strategy doesn’t even seem crazy with this offense.
There’s your 2-0 lead for the bullpen to blow, Warren!
Correction, 3-0 lead.
Correction, 6-0 lead, Grisham 3-run HR.
Grisham solved the “right at guys” problem.
phenom could’ve done that
And probably will. 😏
That’s a new one to me.
First the leadoff walk with a six run lead, and then THAT shit. He was trying to be fancy for some dumb fucking reason.
Just happens so often with this staff, giving leadoff walks with a lead.
Naturally, Warren is trying to give it right back.
Terrible throw by Judge.
Thank you, Adley.
2025 Warren gives up at least three runs there. Great job by him.
Lagrange 5ip 1r 3h 8k 3bb. Pretty good. 48/90 53% for strikes not so good.
Wow, Ben, those were certainly…SOME swings.
Plenty of time for another bullpen implosion.
I sure do not feel good about a four-run lead here.
Can they just take Bird out now, please? It should be one run in, no outs at this point.
Wow, Boone is actually being proactive! Good for him.
Jake Bird is lock down solid
He’s the word.
Yay, win; yay, no bullpen implosion.
But they had to use bednar. I guess tomorrow is headrick again since he pitches every odd numbered day.
Stupid Rays.
I hate that the Yankee don’t get to play the Jays early this year. They always struggle early, and then address their problems later, and thus are better later.
The Yankees beat up on them early last season, and then got stomped later. The Rays are getting the early Jays a lot. Toronto used fucking BRAYDON FISHER in the 10th inning of this one, and he had a Camilo Doval-esque outing. A wild pitch leading to a second run on a sac fly, the Rays then won by a run in 10.
Fucking Toronto. You KNOW they’ll be in better shape when they face the Yankees.
At least the Yankees got the Red Sox early this season.
Uh huh. Trevor Rogers on the Orioles’ rotation:
“I’ll still put this rotation up against anyone in the league. It’s just things just aren’t going our way. … I have no doubt that this is going to turn around, for me especially, so I’m not worried at all.”
