  1. It’s too late for this year (they’re doing Fried as the Mandalorian); but if next year’s May the 4th bobblehead isn’t Cody-wan Kenobi making that catch behind his back, then the entire promotions team should be sacked.

    1. Saving Winquest to piggyback Blackburn to piggyback Yarbrough after Weathers gets knocked out in the first.

  2. Warren’s start could have been a lot worse, but he didn’t walk anyone. Also, the infield defense has been great all year, and it really makes a difference. When you keep people off base and convert double plays, and just don’t give up extra outs, then you’ll suffer less from the homers that your pitchers inevitably give up in your disgraceful bandbox of a home ballpark.

  3. The lesser Bird looked dominant yesterday. Could he grab the set up job or maybe even become the closer since Bednar can give you two any time?
Won’t really know much till we face a good offensive team.

    1. They definitely planned on Bird becoming an important part of the bullpen when they got him. They just couldn’t afford to keep him up with the big league club to work on his shit when they were in a tight playoff race and needed relievers who didn’t currently suck.

I noted at the time that the Bird move was a long term move, but one that they also thought could be a short term move, but he was just so bad and they needed relievers who could contribute NOW at the time.

    1. The f*ing suits image is easily, by far, the thing I like least about the Yankees.
Well, wait… that or Boone not being fired?
      I… can’t… can’t… decide!!!!!
      [head explodes]

    1. Brian – maybe, but that’s not what most of US are mainly concerned with!
