That really is a nice-looking Yankee lineup. Please don’t suck against, Lugo, nice lineup!
They scored 10 runs a day ago, so you know what that means tonight.
Nine or eleven?
Soto and Judge both K’ing.
Awesome lineup kicking ass so far?
I didn’t realize Stanton was on one of his disappearing acts again. Going into tonight’s game 053/248 last 7 days, 189/723 last 28 days..
Another dead weight contract. Marlins don’t start paying a chunk until 2026.
Yep, 10-runs a day ago, 1-hit through 3-innings today.
They didn’t do much yesterday against Singer, they beat up on the pen.
I’m sure he’s a good guy but pledging $200k over the next 8 years when you make $18 Million doesn’t blow me away.
“That really is a nice-looking Yankee lineup. Please don’t suck against, Lugo, nice lineup!”
You just had to, didn’t you?
Soto and Judge imitating Stanton is not a good thing.
I don’t get why they didn’t walk Perez 813 OPS to 689
I that was the plan. Nibble and if he walks, no biggie. Stroman just got too close to the plate.
Lugo having a very good year, so no one should expect this team to come close to doing any damage against him.
Stanton to Soto and Judge, we are one.
It’s not just bad pitchers that dominate the Yankees.
I remember when actual good Yankee teams were able to scratch out a few runs even against pitchers clearly better than Lugo. Pedro was career 11-11 vs the Yankees.
Completely different mentality and approach on those Yankees teams.
They were better but also smarter.
Leiter trying to put the game away, but escapes.
Before this inning batters were hitting 328/1012 against Leiter as a Yankee.
Lugo still has a Stuff+ of 97. His RE24 is like 34 though, which is kinda insane. Dude is 50th among 59 qualified starters in hits allowed and 30th in BBs, but no one is scoring.
He’s like the anti-Rodon who has great Stuff+ numbers but in all other ways is very much Carlos Rodon.
Yankees, 0 BB.
Mark Leiter is so fucking bad. Over 5 era, BA against well over 300, OPS against over 1000.
Good one Cash.
Leiter strikes! Not that it matters.
Isn’t this the time to use Holmes?
Hopefully this lineup doesn’t suck tomorrow!
Last 5-games, 16 runs, 10 in one game.
Judge has got to be hurt. Doing nothing at the plate; missing fly balls in CF….(to me he’s been worse recently)
After the season we will
Find out….
If true, it is part of the package. Judge has missed a lot of games 2018-2023; 50 in 2018, 60 in 2019, 32 out of 60 in 2020, 56 in 2023.
O’s win.
The Martian has played in 3 games this season all against top pitchers.
That IS pretty hilarious.
This offense is going to be shut out in the playoffs twice.
“That really is a nice-looking Yankee lineup. Please don’t suck against, Lugo, nice lineup!”
Possible the most effective jinx ever!
I mean, if you’re going to do a thing, do it well.
Sure Lugo is having a good year, but not a Pedro year, and NOT this good.
Katie Sharp This is the first game in Yankees history in which the lineup had:
✅0 walks
✅0 extra-base hits
✅14+ strikeouts
Their approach at the plate is to have no approach.
At the mid way mark they were 52-29. Since then they are a slightly below 500 team. As a 500 team this is what you get – a win, a loss, with an occasional short winning streak and an occasional short losing streak. With some shut out wins and some shut out losses.
The question is why is this only a 500 team?
The same thing last year, but at least they could point to some pretty crazy injury losses then.
Ragans is one of the best LHPs in baseball. Unless Gil pitches a shutout, we’re fucked. Note this lineup includes Rizzo, Trevi and Vertigo. Unfortunately the Martian is not good against LHPing.
G Torres (R) 2B
J Soto (L) RF
A Judge (R) CF
J Chisholm Jr. (L) 3B
G Stanton (R) DH
A Verdugo (L) LF
A Volpe (R) SS
A Rizzo (L) 1B
J Trevino (R) C
Just more Yankees stupidity.
vertigo isn’t going to get a hit off of a lefty, how about moving jazz to left and giving berti a start since he hasn’t played at all.
Has anyone written on who should stop switch hitting? Both Waldo and Jasson are clearly better hitting left. Waldo doesn’t always switch.
Mets no-hit for 8-innings, win 6-2. Yankees won’t get 6-hits tonight.
