Aaron motherfucking Judge is back, people!
I’m coming around on the whole “Let him rehab in the Majors” approach, as there just isn’t that much time left in the season. Plus, just his presence alone is huge.
They really need to sweep this series. They probably won’t, though.
The Athletics did a nice job against Cease last night. If Cam does a nice job, he could actually separate a bit.
You know you’re slow when they bounce the throw to second and get you by a mile.
Not ideal to see how late Judge was on all three strikes in that at-bat.
That was BIZARRELY sloppy defense. Goodman just let it go past him for no reason. “La la, oh wait, was I supposed to get that ball?”
Heliot could’ve done that.
It was strange how Jones looked like he was home run or bust with a runner on third and two outs.
At least the strikeout was swinging.
The odds are good that Hughes will lower his ERA tonight. Maybe even get a win.
Gabriel Hughes, RHP 0-6, 6.19 ERA
That was a 70% swing from Jazz. I like it.
TERRIBLE miss by Lombard. Holy shit, dude, how do you fucking challenge that at this point in the game and with the pitch being THAT obvious!?
How are you not stealing in that at-bat, Jazz?!
And now it’s a fucking double play because Jazz didn’t steal for some fucking reason. Why does that guy not steal NEARLY as much as he should? When you’re as fast as Jazz is, how are you not stealing every time you’re on base in a close game?!
WOE.
Re AL CY Young
Cam has more wins, more WAR and a lower ERA. If that holds up and he doesn’t win, it’s clear anti Yankee Bias.
Ugh, Cam.
Don’t believe all this hooey about the Rockie’s bad pitching. Gabriel Hughes tonight looks like he could be a 2 or a 3 on most major league teams.
Similarly, Cam might not be a Cy Young candidate if he pitched half his games at Coors Field. And Kris Bryant would have 400 home runs by now if his lumbar discs hadn’t disintegrated.
Fucking awful at-bat by Wells. Hughes is fucking dominating these guys.
And terrible luck, too.
Imagine how good Cam could be if he faced the Yankees lineup.
Austin Wells turning the corner but took the wrong turn, last 7-176/300/176
We have a top 10/15 catcher wasting away in the minors. Why?
Hughes would be winning this game if Goodman wasnt a complete imbecile.
Schlittler ever NOT pitching like this seems unfathomable. He’s so consistent and calm. Stone cold killer.
Facing Michael King and Hughes in back to back games would be tough on any team.
When Gabriel Hughes is on his game, you can’t do anything about it. Just tip your cap and move on.
Hughes is just DOMINATING them.
Lombard should steal.
Scoring from first is also acceptable.
More not steal;ing.
So much not stealing!
Negative preparedness.
A legit run. Wow.
Sort of. If the RF plays the carom right Lombard can’t score.
That was ball 2, Ben.
Then, on 2-1, he fouls off ball 3.
What a dreadful AB by Rice. Yuck.
The Rockies’ pitching looks so good.
Don’t know what you can do about that.
Amazing they’renot all bald with all the cap tipping.
This offense is pretty terrible when it doesn’t know what’s coming.
The key was that Lombard wasn’t in scoring position. As soon as there was a runner in scoring position, Wells and Rice shit the bed
Rays winning after four innings, Bosox losing after five innings..
Why is Dominguez on the team when they need someone to play the outfield who can actually field?
Shouldn’t Schuemann be the guy?
Are the Yankees capable of blowing away bad teams?
The offense should be so embarrassed. One actual run all game.
I think they rely on us to be embarrassed for them.
Very good game by Schlittler, but a bit too high of a pitch count. He should have been able to give them eight with the way he was pitching.
and the portions were terrible!
Nice, KC!
This would be embarrassing if the Yankees were capable of embarassment
What a terrible strikeout by McMahon.
They love taking a third strike.
I read some people just came for the Naruto giveaway then just left. They should need to answer a Yankee quiz.

Challenge
They probably wanted Ramos for this guy.
As I said.
Well, okay. Stick with Headrick in the ninth?
I like Hill here.
Looks safe to me.
Awful call.
Timmy?
Timmeh.
Wait, did I miss where the Yankees added a slugging right fielder?
Bosox lose.
And since when is it allowed to have a catcher who can hit?
Goodness. Walk Rumsfeld and then give up a HR.
Yay win. Yay Cam. Yay Ramos(!).
Took Bednar three pitches. Yay, win.
From Katie S–
Just think how good Allan Winans must’ve been.
If Jazz needs a day for that jammed thumb, maybe that’s a chance to try Garcia at second base? like, I generally don’t like playing guys at positions where they stink, but you’re more likely to get offensive production from Garcia than from Caballero, and you can keep Rice’s rejuvenated bat in the lineup.
With the ultimate point being that it lets you DH Judge so he doesn’t dive and re-break his rib.
i may be in the minority, but that’d be hilarious if it happened that way
OOOOF. Twice bitten, thrice shy
