Of course the game that Schlittler pitches is the same one that the Mets’ best pitcher pitches. That’s annoying.
Schlittler has to know that one run allowed means no win, and two runs is a loss.
The Fried news is bad, but honestly, the injury was likely making him suck, so better he heal up than try to fight his way through the injury shitting up the place.
I’d just let Yarby fill in until Cole is ready. But Elmer or Beck would be fine, too.

In the on deck circle The Abyss. A good time go out or do some chores.
McMahon batting 6th?
You just hope he gets on base for Carnac.
Rays up 4-1.
Ugly piece of beautiful hitting Cody.
Would you walk Jazz?
Guess they should’ve. Not that Jazz would’ve scared me but McMahon scares me less.
Every game Schlittler gets hit.
Cody flashes the glove after the nice piece of hitting.
Spencer with 111mph payback for hitting Schlittler.
You hit our guys, Spence will take revenge.
Schwarber with 2 more HRs, now at 20 for the season.
Austin is drifting into the arena of the un-Wells.
And we have a backup catcher who Boone said has the talent to be a “top 10 or 15” catcher in Major League Baseball on both sides of the ball if he were given the opportunity to play regularly.
Making an enemy of our own future.
At least the pen is rested.
I hope Soto is enjoying his Mets experience. For a few dollars more.
How many times is Schlittler going to get hit.
Send Cruz somewhere, please. Always a pitch away from disaster.
Hey, let’s walk the leadoff batter up four runs.
C’mon, Bednar. Sheesh.
EDIT: Ends on a line drive to third.
He should never pitch in non-save situations. He clearly doesn’t focus unless it’s a save situation. It’s very annoying. That said, the inning was never THAT close. There were two outs when the hits started coming.
Within 1 run OPS 800. Within 2-4 around 670. OTOH high leverage 664, medium 1042, low 530..
Shit, Spencer Jones outright BROKE HOLMES’ LEG!
He’s going to be out for months.
WOW!
Lombard 0-3 hitting 140. Waldo heating up 367/997 for May. He might yet find his way back.
