Why the fuck is this game starting at 6:35?
We had a hit. And a walk.
And Judge flailed away in between.
That was a rouuuuuuugh at-bat by McMahon.
They weren’t even sure if he needed to go on the IL
Giancarlo Stanton will undergo testing today to gauge healing in his strained right calf, Aaron Boone said. He has been able to continue hitting but is not running. “Hopefully he can start ramping up running this week,” Boone said.
It’s so fucking weird that they haven’t even let the guy fucking RUN yet. What the fuck did he do to himself?
Yeah that was yesterday’s news Meredith. Now let’s see a little more contact before we celebrate.
Somehow 5-9 in the lineup has gotten even worse.
Austin Wells makes me sad.
It’s craaaaaaaaaaaaazy.
Like, okay, he fell off of a cliff in the fall of 2024, but even his 2025 numbers would look amazing comparatively to the shit he is throwing out there now!
Rays up 3-0 top of the first.
I am legit shocked that that went over the fence.
Ben Rice makes me glad.
I love that McMahon sucks, and they moved him up in the order.
He’s been hitting well lately and who’s he worse than right now in this lineup.
Sorry, I should have been clearer. It DOES make sense to move him up because everyone else being worse, and that’s simply depressing.
Yankee lineup
1 Grish
2 Rice
3 Judge
4 Cody
5-9 The Abyss
Seth Brown is looking better and better as an option (and he fucking SUCKS).
Marco Luciano is tearing the cover off of the ball in AAA, but unlike Brown, you couldn’t just DFA him the moment you got Stanton or Dominguez back.
Has Warren’s turd against Texas changed your opinion on the race for the #5 spot between him and Weathers?
Wells, buddy….buddy!
God, that guy just fucking barrels every other ball and nothing to show for it.
Rays up 5-0 in the second inning.
EDIT: Now 5-3.
Rice botched that DP.
Why would you give one of the only guys who is hitting the day off?
It’s tough when you face four great starters in a row, each one better than the previous. And then when the starters tire it’s like Eckersley, Wagner, Mo, and Mason Miller.
Jazz is quite tiresome.
Enns is damn good. McGill, Ashby, and Uribe were damn good.
Happy now Jack Curry. You just put the kibosh on Weathers. If that were Mel Allen or The Scooter that never would’ve happened.
As long as as it’s a bullpen game we’re gold.
Might’ve gone to a RHP for O’Neill
Might’ve gone to a RHP to face O’Neill. Especially with the next hitter a RHB.
They’re gonna blow this game like they blew the Schlittler game.
EDIT: This bullpen is hot garbage.
Yep. This offense is in the fucking doldrums.
Headrick pumpkining.
Best bullpen in baseball.
Coupled with one of the better managers. 🤪
Not for nothing, but that was a terrible walk by Weathers.
Rays up 7-3.
It’s not clear who to root for.
Those are the first inherited runners that Headrick have allowed to score all season, so i think we can cut the guy some slack.
Nope. Not when he gives up a 3-run HR.
Obviously giving up home runs are bad. I mean overall
Home runs back to back games. But it’s not Headrick, the pen as an entity has sucked. When this score holds up that’ll be 3 games in a row the pen lost.
The pen has sucked these last three games, no doubt (even there, they allowed one run yesterday). It was good a lot more games in a row before that.
The offense is the much bigger problem.
Garcia has just OWNED the Yankees since they cut him.
That was an embarrassing inning by 2-3-4.
Of course, for the Yankees, he was terrible.
The swoon has begun.
Oh, I didn’t know Cabby was HURT. That’s not good.
I guess it’s Volpe time.
Maybe Milwaukee’s pitching wasn’t the problem last weekend.
Down 1 in the 9th and The Abyss due up.
Isn’t hat like 5/9 of the lineup?
Garcia threw 9 pitches in the 8th. If Boone made this pitching change we’d be screaming. It’l probably work out given the unhitters the Yankees have coming up.
By 50/50 Jazz meant 50% strikeouts, 50% other outs.
A -0.1 WAR!
Why not Rosario??
Rosario’s not better than Schuman???
Saving Rosario to hit for Wells … tomorrow.
Hooray Pythag.
Oh, Cabby
That was the opposite of good
I just thank God that they lost to a team under .500. Thank goodness for that!
The formula solid starting pitching. Three good to great hitters. A mediocre bullpen that chokes in close games. And The Abyss.
They won quite a few games early on with mediocre offense. That was because the bullpen was great, something that wasn’t going to last, not with these guys.
Eight runs and 48 Ks over the last 4 games.
Jazz, 3 Ks tonight and is at 201/603.
You just gotta drop Jazz in the lineup, right? I think McMahon has to sadly be the #5 hitter against righties.
All that needs to be said about this lineup.
Yankee hitting coaches and Boone have done a marvelous job with Wells and Jazz.
Not to forget with Volpe as well.
Volpe never hit rock bottom, he stayed consistently mediocre for 3 seasons. Jazz was actually good and Wells was OK trending to possibly being good.
I liked Jazz when he got here…until he opened up his big mouth about going 50-50 or whatever it was he was bragging about. That he now is costing himself millions is karma.
