  1. In all seriousness, I legit am more annoyed by the balls than the solo shots. They’re three good home run hitters, and two of them (Trout and Soler) are on hot streaks right now. But you can’t walk Vaughn Grissom, dude.

    1. I was thinking the same.
All on one pitch, which makes it more likely, right? The kind of pitch you can definitely hit if you know it’s coming (a 4-seamer).

  2. “They believe Bird will place a role during the course of the season.” Oh Good.

Maybe it’s less about the options than his career 12 Yankee and 6.32 Scranton ERA.

    1. Yeah, honestly, while Weathers has obviously been bad, it’s not like he’s getting blown away. If they could score any fucking runs, they’d be right in this thing.

    1. To be fair to Blackburn, he’s not the type of guy who’s used to pitching back-to-back days at this point, ya know?

That’s not much of an excuse, though, of course.

  3. That’ll do it for this game. A lot of these pitchers are who they are; you cannot make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, and a couple of these guys are sow’s ears.

    1. Everybody always talks about the Weathers, but nobody ever does anything about it.

  4. Media had almost no questions for Boone.

    1. The Red Sox are contractually obligated to completely implode every 5-10 years
