After a BIG win yesterday, it would be really neat to actually win a series in Toronto, but whatever, I just would like to see a nice performance from Will Warren with Ryan Weathers’ recent struggles suggesting that Warren WILL be in the rotation full time, so the Yankees need him to do well.
I have some faith in Dominguez against lefties, but I don’t get batting him THIRD.
Warren just throws WAY TOO many pitches.
Someone should tell Warren he doesn’t get paid extra for every pitch thrown.
SO MANY PITCHES.
Heck of a play by Volpe! WAY too many pitches, though, by Warren. Shit, dude.
RBI double by Ali Sanchez!?!? Boy, Corbin should probably just retire after THAT.
phenom with a big inning. Schumann getting that note out of his head.
phenom, Schumann, and not that Sanchez great bottom of lineup or greatest?
greatest
Rice is in a bit of a slump lately.
Corbin did pretty well to get out of that with only two runs scored, honestly.
Warren has NOT looked good to start this game.
What an AWFUL walk by Warren. Like, holy shit was that bad.
I guess that was a good hold, as I think Dominguez probably DOES get him there.
Ugh, Springer with the bases loaded. Not good.
He got out of it, which is good, but holy shit what a weird outing by Warren.
How is that a HIT?! He would have been out by two feet had Goldy not botched the catch!
Holy shit, what kind of awful performance is this by Warren?
Fuck, Goldy, what the hell, dude!? It was a terrible throw, but you gotta do better than that!
3 hits by a catcher in 2 days.
Treetops hung heavy with pork!
Wow, that was a LUCKY Sanchez challenge. There is NO WAY that he knew that was a strike.
Warren at 74 pitches with one out in the 4th. Ugh.
That’s before he’s gone to 11 pitches AND COUNTING on the fucking #9 hitter!
This is ABSURD. He’s throwing SO MANY PITCHES. How is he 3-2 on the fucking #9 hitter?!
Warren channelling Phil Hughes. It is all mental.
It’s “prove Brian right” day in the Warren household.
Will Warren is AWFUL today.
A lesson in how not to pitch.
Jeeez, man.
How can both Warren AND Weathers have been so good and then both start sucking in COMPLETE UNISON? It’s so, so, so not the first time this kind of thing has happened to the Yankees. There has to be an explanation.
EIGHT HITS and three walks and almost 100 pitches and we’re not out of the FOURTH INNING.
Warren was also awful his last start in Cleveland, 4.1, 91 pitches.
Coney’s impressed with Warren.
I’ll say this much. The two teams he struggled with, Cleveland and Toronto, are both notably teams that make a lot of contact and try to spoil as many pitches as possible. So it makes sense that he would have problems with them.
It was still an AWFUL performance.
Volpe has secured his place through July at least.
