  1. Jazz has all the talent and just doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing.
Put Caballero’s head in Jazz’s body and you’d have Ty Cobb.

    1. Put Caballero’s head in Jazz’s body and you’d have Robinson Cano.

To put Volpe’s head in anyone else’s body, you’d first have to remove it from his own ass.

  2. They have two catchers who can’t hit.
They should pinch hit for whoever starts every single game, whenever the leverage is high enough or it’s late enough in the game.

  3. I just saw that J.C. Escarra was optioned to Triple-A, with Ali Sanchez called up. Sanchez isn’t much of anything, so whatever. Musical chairs at a position that needs HELP, not stiffs. Sanchez is a .183/.220/.233 career hitter over 133 plate appearances with the Mets, Cardinals, Marlins, Blue Jays, and Red Sox. What a tour. Maybe the goal was to show us how good of a hitter Wells really is by bringing up someone worse.

If Sanchez is just here for a day or two, I saw that Logan Porter of the Giants declared free agency rather than accept a minor league assignment. He doesn’t inspire confidence. It is possible they are interested in Elias Diaz, who also recently declared free agency after being designated for assignment by the Royals.

    1. Ali is actually worse against LHPs. This doesn’t make any sense, there has to be a trade or waiver pickup coming. Was Boone lying when he said Escarra would be a top 15 catcher on either side of the plate?

    2. Yeah, a signing or a waiver claim HAS to be happening. There’s no way they’d replace Escarra with a somehow even shittier hitting Escarra, right? Hmmm…Escarra HAS sucked, though…
