The first day officially without Aaron Judge begins. Let’s hope that they can somehow hit Sonny Gray!
Don’t like Cabby sitting for Volpe.
Sonny Gray Complete game, 2 hit shut out.
Cody is so good in left. Maybe The Martian should play right which is much easier.
Cash pretty much said that that’s exactly what will happen when Dominguez gets called up.
We all had Ben Rice as your New York Yankees home run leader, right?
Where, oh where would this team be without Constanbeno Riceno?
Was that so clear phenom couldn’t at least get the lead runner?
His momentum was toward home, it seemed automatic to me.
It was nice to have Wells up with 2 on, 2 out.
That inning was so fucking annoying.
Yes.
Two out of his last 3 before tonight Weathers was bad.
Weathers with another gopher ball.
Insurmountable.
Sonny Gray hasn’t reached 40 pitches yet and it is the 4th inning. Some lineup.
Spencer Jones gets a speed double. Imagine if he had some power!
He seems to understand the strike zone.
Jazz has all the talent and just doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing.
Put Caballero’s head in Jazz’s body and you’d have Ty Cobb.
Put Caballero’s head in Jazz’s body and you’d have Robinson Cano.
To put Volpe’s head in anyone else’s body, you’d first have to remove it from his own ass.
The HR ball does in Weathers again.
Sure probably Jazz should’ve made that play but that doesn’t mean Weathers nedve to shit the bed.
Does Wells ever get hits? Grisham does.
Wells is having a terrible year that’s getting worse, 1-15.
The Yankee pitchers sure are having an awful week, huh? Rodon excluded.
It’s mind-boggling that Wells is even physically capable of being THIS bad.
But he’s fine pitching in Yankee Stadium for the OTHER team.
Brilliant reasoning.
In the AIR Spence
Watch Spencer turn into a contact machine, bat 387 over his nest twenty-five games and have 2 runs scored.
If he makes contact, he’ll hit home runs.
Just don’t hit into a double play Austin
My God. Wells’ at bats are becoming theater.
Sonny Gray has no split. Just pinch hit Cabby or Rosario with a man on and the top of the lineup due.
They have two catchers who can’t hit.
They should pinch hit for whoever starts every single game, whenever the leverage is high enough or it’s late enough in the game.
They really have to. Boone refuses to accept reality.
The real killer is that both of their catchers are good defenders, so it’s not like you’re losing on defense by bringing Escarra in for Wells after pinch-hitting.
Blackburn is in the COT now?
Impressive inning. The shape of things to come for the next two months.
Lombard 0-4 with a walk and a 3 strikeouts. Martian 0-4. Beck 7 hitless, combined no no.
But they pinch hit for Spence.
Why did Holmes and Chappy suck so much for us?
Just pretend it’s Altuve Chapman.
Weathers has now given up five runs in less than 7 innings in 3 of his last 4 starts.
Weathers 9 home runs on 4 seamer, tied for first in MLB.
Our genius pitching coach is working on it.

Ali is actually worse against LHPs. This doesn’t make any sense, there has to be a trade or waiver pickup coming. Was Boone lying when he said Escarra would be a top 15 catcher on either side of the plate?
Yeah, a signing or a waiver claim HAS to be happening. There’s no way they’d replace Escarra with a somehow even shittier hitting Escarra, right? Hmmm…Escarra HAS sucked, though…
