I feel like the Yankee rotation is playing a crazy game of Duck-Duck-Goose, and no one wants to be the guy who gets “Goose” by having a bad game. Let’s hope that Rodon can continue the string of Ducking good performances.
No first inning run allowed…what does it mean…
A good 3b makes that play.
You probably don’t want to start Soto off 2-0 with a runner on second and no outs.
Wow, a 3-0 groundout. I apologize, Flexen, I guess you had Soto right where you wanted him!
Now that inning was a true Yankee Classic
Second inning run?
Here’s the Rodon Brian has been waiting for
Yankees play best from behind.
Well, duck.
Remillard has been a real embarrassment on the basepaths this series.
I was on the subway yesterday and this woman was wearing a Remillard pin stripe jersey. I thought Remillard was a hockey player..
I like Trevino
Trevino was one of Cash’s best moves, if not the very best, and it only happened because Rortvedt got hurt. Sometimes you get lucky.
As they say in Zoolander, Jose Trevino is so hot right now.
I’ll say that rates as a counter-dickpunch
Flexen reall owned Judge on that outside corner
If Soto and Judge can’t do it Gleyber and Trevi can
Yankee AA team 6 runs on 2 hits, DJ with 3 walks.
with one swing Berti LEAPFROGS Torres in OPS
Berti coming through with the big hit, just like everyone would have predicted.
Imagine shutting down Soto and Judge, only to give up a three-run home run to Jon fucking Berti.
Why sign Soto to a $500m deal when you’ve got Berti?
AND he’ll probably settle for $495m?
Berti has feelers out to Boras right now.
Berti, Berti he’s our man, if Soto and judge can’t do it Gleyber and Trevi and Jonny can.
I guess we’ll never know whether Sterling’s call would have been “Bye Bye Berti”, or an oblique and incomprehensible reference to Berti’s Sicilian ancestry.
OK then
Jidge.
He just kind of flicked that
Judge can
Non Judgian blast
Gross.
Who’s flexin’ now? Judge, with a sub-100MPH EV.
Soto back on the schneid
Beginning to think Rodón is not done.?
Torres is absolutely going to take a $2m pillow contract next year. It isn’t going to work out.
Holmes though is going to make a fortune
Yay, back-to-back and belly-to-belly sweeps.
Did you know? The Yankees have the best record in baseball v teams over 500 at 15-7. The Phillies, who currently have the best overall record, are 1-2 vs >500.
Sure, the Phillies get to play the Mets a lot.
That’s pretty crazy how few +.500 teams the Phillies have played.
Also, are the Yankees … good?
Watched the first episode of the doc about the 1990 Yankees, so much I don’t remember. Mel Hall brought two cougars to the clubhouse and the prom photo of his 15 year old girlfriend in the yearbook. Pascual Perez. And of course George.
Kirschner Yankees sweep the White Sox and win today’s game 7-2.
The Yankees are 33-15. It’s the same record they had in 2022 at this point in the season.
This team seems much more real than that did at the time.
I think it’s because this team is doing it with A. No Gerrit Cole and B. No fluky Matt Carpenter heroics. So it seems more sustainable.
