Certain starters, you almost give the Yankees a mulligan when they struggle against them. Not tonight. They better not suck against this dude.
Tommy Kahnle (@TampaTarpons) in his rehab inning: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K He maxed out at 95.5 MPH.
Wow, impressive. I like Kahnle as, like, the fourth option in the pen (the problem is that I don’t know who the third option is right now. Santana? Gonzalez?). Expecting more from him seems like a bad idea.
burdi, soon. many potential options in the next few months. I rescind my yearn for an rp trade
I really don’t know who any of the guys in the pen are except Holmes. Vague memory of Marinaccio. The rest, no clue. I intend to keep it that way.
Rodon decided to take the wrong lesson from Gil’s start.
So the game is on Amazon, but only if you have a Max subscription…which I do, but separately from Amazon. Fuck Rob Manfred.
What? It’s on Amazon.
It wants me to buy a Max subscription to watch
Spencer Arrighetti in a taxi honey
You could see that coming. Looks like batting practice.
113.4 mph, 440 feet THE OPPOSITE WAY
thanks, michael, for the detailed explanation for in base percentage.
…and that was the last time the Yankees scored
This game is a Divine Comedy so far hope it doesn’t end up as a tragedy,
As I was saying
Sorry, Gameday didn’t post that a run scored at first
I hate Torres
Well, that was some shitty baserunning with Judge coming up. TJPSOB strikes again.
posada was a better baserunner
You see, Torres??? YOU SEE????????
Maybe Judge isn’t through
Or Stanton. Q How do you hit a line drive into the second deck? A hit it 120 mph.
Seeing the ‘Stros catcher’s reaction on that 119.9 MPH HR by the Big Lug, priceless.
Yordan Alvarez with the bat on his shoulder for three straight heaters in the zone is really something
I think rodon is tough on a lot of lefties line-of-sight wise. I mean his slider isn’t other worldly but he’s been racking up the ks
So at 6 Ks on just 45 pitches to start the 5th, Rodon loses it?
GLEYBER
Two doubles! I like it
glad his luck is turning around. i like the way he plays, his head is in it.
I guess Judge is good
Who is this team? Is Amazon broadcasting a mirror image and Houston is winning? Altuve with a big game.
i don’t want to get ahead of myself but a win tomorrow would sweep the season series.
Spencer Jones 2/26 077
This is really bad, Ian.
Why were both Judge and Soto out there in the 9th? AT least one should have been taken out.
excellent question
I’m usually in favor of trying to get more out of a starter but Rodon threw 45 though 4 and then another 45 through 2. He was clearly losing it
I was torn on that one. A. With a big lead, you want to rest the bullpen as much as possible, but B. I think there’s something to be said for letting him exit on a better note, yeah.
