    1. Grisham and Jazz have at least had some good looking at-bats. McMahon and Wells have also LOOKED lost, while their results have been bad, too.

  1. TBS has the national broadcast. I’m showing the game is unavailable due to blackout. But YES has it. Flip to YES and … the game is unavailable due to blackout. MLB tv? Game unavailable due to blackout. Three things I pay for that all have the game that I don’t get to watch. EXCELLENT system we’ve designed here.

    1. I mean, throw him an off-speed meatball, and of course he’s going to pull it. Especially now that his swing is shorter.

      Oh, you mean a hamstring.

    1. At least Bellinger, Rice, and Stanton are batting consecutively.

And maybe Jazz just needs to dial it back to 70% in order to go 50/50.

    1. The way he has historically sustained injuries running the bases, it’s probably good that he doesn’t get into a pickle.

  2. Judge seems to be stepping in the bucket on his K’s.

Probably correlates with that his HR’s have been pulled down the line.

And just as I call that out, he hits one right back up the middle. Unlucky carom, but hopefully he can redirect his hits to center and right-center. He’s best when he does that.

  3. While Judge, Chisholm, McMahon, Caballero, and Wells are all clearly underperforming at the plate, so are Seattle’s 1-2-3-4. Raleigh is the best of that group at .143 AVG /.440 OPS. Refsnyder is 0-for-8, all vs LHP. Julio Rodriguez is under .100. Josh Naylor is at .045.

  4. Ser Benjen of House Rice is going to have himself a season this year. I suspect a lot of those hard hit balls from last year that were hit right at fielders are going to miss some fielders this year.

  5. If they keep pitching like this, they’re going to win a LOT of games.
Of course, since no team has EVER pitched like this for long, I suspect they’re eventually going to need an actual offense.
