The fucking Twins skipped their fifth starter so that their All-Star starter gets to fuck the Yankees. Awesome.
Worse Weather or Weathers.
Nice throw phenom 2, nice tag phenom1
Imagine having a chance to avoid giving up a run with first and third and no outs by a strike em out/throw em out double play, but just being too shitty to get an out ahead 1-2.
1-0 is already a loss against Joe Ryan.
Schumann almost a great catch, couldn’t hold on, might’ve saved a run anyway..
Yeah, fair. He legit has played great defense in the outfield.
Buxton, dude, if you get hurt from a stiff breeze, why are you trying to steal second with no outs?
Joe Ryan is going to own these guys so hard.
So Minnesota went out and got a back up catcher. And their players were willing to switch positions. Cashman? Boone?
No hitter gone
WTF Jazz
Yankees starters must get paid a bonus for throwing a lot of pitches early. Seriously, 58 pitches in 3-innings.
Wells staying over 150.
Twins might win a series against the stumbling Yankees.
Weathers went to the Rodon school of pitching, four innings of not so solid pitching.
Awful game by Weathers, and Blackburn was not good this inning, either.
But, again, they were screwed by the fact that they were never going to score against Ryan.
Weathers with a 4.29 era emblematic of the mediocrity he is.
Another fantastic job by Weathers.
There’s hope the Twin’s pen is bad, Unfortunately our hitter are worse.
“1-0 is already a loss against Joe Ryan.”
Probably, but they decided to play it safe and be absolutely sure.
…
“Wells staying over 150.”
Patience, my friend, patience. He’ll get there.
This is the equivalent of a second down quick kick.
They really, really, REALLY need to send Doval to the minors. I mean, what are they even fucking doing here?
Have Yarbs take the #5 spot in the rotation, call up SOMEone for Doval (ERC? Who else is even eligible?), and then bring up Cruz as soon as possible.
Shelly Duval and phenom for a third string AA catcher. Who,hangs up first?
Did the fans have to pay for this game in this weather or were free tickets inserted in the NY Post?
If Doval throws 100+, why can’t Blake do anything and how long will he be here.
I’d leave Doval in. The game is lost; at least if you publicly humiliate him when he goes to the minors he’ll work on his stuff. ?
Shoulda done that last night and saved Headrick
Bird and Doval or Gallo and Donaldson or Brooks Kriske?
This is not a good team and with Rice and Cody not hitting, this is a very bad offense.
The bullpen is a mess.
Katie S Yankees have now allowed 29 unearned runs in their last 15 games.
That’s the most by a Yankee team in any 15-game span since 1935.
Yeah, and the pitchers aren’t picking up their teammates after the errors.
This offense has TWO fucking All Stars on it, and yet they can’t hit for shit. It’s embarrassing as fuck.
C’mon, 3-hits through 8-innings. 😏
You say “two” like it’s some kind of record… well, actually, I’m surprised the record is only 5 all star hitters (the Big Red Machine that beat the Yanks in ’76).
Can we take this back to the brilliantly titled The Yankees Suck thread?
Rice and Cody 9th inning hits. That’s something we can build on tomorrow.
Re-le-ga-tion (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)
This ballclub is pathetic, and will remain so until Volpe and Wells are DFA’d.
Volpe and Wells do so much to harm this team.
Volpe selfishly puts Caballero, the better shortstop, out of position, and to places where he doesn’t play as well. This makes Volpe responsible for unearned runs – both directly (by his own errors) and indirectly (by forcing Cabby etc out of position) – and also responsible for earned runs (unmade double plays that Cabby was making at shortstop.)
(Incidentally, Caballero has also said that this displacement harms his own offensive preparation and production, as he has to prepare to play a different position each day.)
Volpe and Wells are losers, figuratively and literally. Do Boone and Cashman not see it? Do they not see how demoralizing it is to the rest of the team to continue having these losers play every day?
I have no idea what the Yankees think they have in Volpe. The guy needs to go.
Fans threw up as well.

Rays lose.
Boone was saying just look at these guys, of course they’ll hit like he was talking about Matsui, Jeter, Bernie, and Bernie.Sheffield slumping.
Is it on Rowan to make things less bad? That’s his job isn’t it?
Three hitting coaches in all, Rowson, Casey Dykes and Jake Hirst.
From Katie S —
Camilo Doval is the 1st pitcher in Yankees history to have back-to-back games (both as a reliever) with
▶️4+ runs allowed
▶️7 or fewer batters faced
Boone “Doval the bottom line he’s got to be part of our solution”
The clock is at 55 and counting up in the World Cup. Is it counting up to 60. 90, or ?
Someone should go to cashman play him that arrogant assholish video 3 years ago of him saying that when Volpe starts hitting we will all see that he was right not to send him to the minors and ask him
“When exactly is that going to happen?”
England is in the 4 corners. Why do they never call icing?
Aaron Boone on Camilo Doval:
“I know nobody likes hearing it, but he’s been throwing the ball really well.

Suzyn Waldman rips Volpe and the entire Yankees defense:
“You know, this is what everyone is talking about. This is why this team is getting booed right now, and why people say they’re not focused. That was their 20th error in their last 15 games.”
