    1. I still have some faith in him. His stuff is just too good. But yes, it is hard to have faith in him when he is a total headcase. When Gil returns, perhaps they keep Cookie Carrasco and let Warren work out more stuff in the minors.

    2. I have no choice but to have faith in him. The fact that he wasn’t good in AAA at age 25 bothers me. But sure he does have swing and miss stuff..

  1. I’d love to get into the mindset of these dudes like Warren. “Can’t let him hit me hard, let me avoid the plate. Shit, walked him. Can’t let this guy hit me hard, either, let me avoid the plate. Shit, walked him. I need to throw a strike here….shit, the very hard contact I was afraid of!”

    Just madness.

  2. Note to Martian coaches Cedric Mullins WAS a switch hitter. For his career as a RHB vs LHP he hit 147/440, as a LHB vs LHP he’s 240/689 big improvement. This year he’s 364/1215.

    1. Warren had basically the same game Schmidt had against Cleveland. It was just a mix of bad luck (the bloops against Schmidt and the Grisham botched catch tonight), and a little bit of headcase-ness. Schmidt bounced back, and I wouldn’t put it past Warren to do the same, either.

Meanwhile, Sugano had a centerfielder go over the fence to rob Goldy of a home run.

      Sometimes you get the bear…

    2. Yeah maybe but Warren has never done it anywhere, 5.91 era at Scranton last year.

    1. I’m fine with that but next year things need to change. Maybe in Winter Ball, maybe in ST the Martian needs to explore doing what Cedric Mullins did.

    2. JTSnow while not as extreme as Mullins upped his OPS by 100 against LHPs when
      when he stopped switch hitting.
