The Yankees haven’t made a Rule 5 pick in over a decade, but more importantly, while I thought that Cashman should have protected more guys, it turned out that he was correct, as the Yankees didn’t lose a single guy. That’s great, as there were definitely some live arms left unprotected that might come in handy during the regular season.
Poor TJ Rumsfield, though. No one will ever claim him!
Petit, Paez, and Susac were legit prospects, so it’s interesting to see what happens with them.
