From Bryan Hoch:
Fans lined the streets around Yankee Stadium for hours Friday, drawn by the lure of Aaron Judge’s much-anticipated “Superman” bobblehead. The giveaway looked the part, but there’s still no substitute for the genuine article.
Judge rose to the occasion on his big night, belting his 27th home run while reaching base in his first four plate appearances. Yet he could have used the Man of Steel’s ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound — if only for a few seconds.
Instead, Judge saw Ramón Urías’ go-ahead homer sail past his outstretched glove in the Yankees’ 5-3 loss to the Orioles. Though he and his team came up short, Judge maintained his confidence that Bombers’ June swoon (8-10) is about to turn.
Sure, stick with that, Judge.
This was a particularly painful loss because the Yankees actually hit, and still just scored three fucking runs. Similarly, Max Fried had his second-worst loss of the season. Good timing, dude! And, of course, a rusty Luke Weaver was terrible. Once it gets to Felix Bautista, this team has no chance.
Oh well, at least Zach Efflin doesn’t also typically dominate the Yanke…oh, he does? Well, fuck. I guess it’ll be a half game lead by the end of tonight.

Volpe started the season strong, and if memory serves, seems to come out of the gate after the ASB hot as well. Hell, the Grandma’s cooking hot streak was after a day off.
How did this kid get a decree that he plays 160 games a year? If a day off or occasional rest does everyone else in the sport a service, how does nobody in the Bronx think that Volpe might benefit from an extra day off every two weeks? Shortstop is demanding.
Peraza fields the position as well or better, and if Volpe isn’t hitting at all, Peraza won’t be worse for a day here and there.
yup
Boone said he’d give him a day this weekend,
Looks like I picked a good month to ignore baseball
