    1. Over Leiter or Mayza? I wonder if they have plans for Poteet or Trivino or Effross or Burdi or Beeter all of whom are rehabbing.

    1. It’s GREATLY on the pathetic offense, no doubt, but, again, how can you stick with Holmes here? They didn’t even use any of the high leverage guys last night! There is NO excuse for this!

  1. Holmes somehow gets through the seventh without blowing the lead. Just be happy about that! Why would you moronically keep pushing the issue? I mean, HE’S STILL BEING ALLOWED TO BLOW SAVES!! WHY? WHY? Why is Boone THIS stupid?!

  2. The Yankees have 7-8-9 in the Top of the 10th, while the Mariners have 2-3-4 against, I presume, Ian Hamilton.

    Not great odds!

But boy, it sure is good to see how smart Boone was for waiting until Holmes blew the save before going to Holmes. That was some smrt baseball!

    1. I really don’t see how Soto won’t return. The Yankees will match the highest offer, and I think he just wants to play for a contender who will pay him the most money. That’s the Yankees.

    1. Judge. Soto. Wells. Martian (to an extent). Gil. Schmidt. Cole (when he’s not acting like a headcase). Weaver. There’s a lot to like about this team.

There’s just a lot to not like, too.

  3. Julio should have been called out anyway for going as far away from 3rd base as he did, but thankfully they didn’t have to go that route. And thankfully it wasn’t Trevino catching.
