Make no bones about it, the Orioles are NOT a bad team. They were ONCE a bad team earlier in the season, but now that their pitching is healthy, they’re better than the Twins, and they will be a tough test for the Yankees over these last 10 games, with the Yankees having to play them SEVEN of their last ten games.
Oh, and of course, the Yankees had to pay the Yankees tax last night, playing a night game in Minnesota before flying to Maryland late at night.
Is it too much to ask that Judge have a few multihomer games now that he’s hitting after his nearly two month vacation from that occupation?
I will be very unhappy if he doesn’t hit at least 2 more to reach 50 in a season again.
Amen!
Pitcher friendly ump
Maury of Shirley?
Pitcher-friendly, eh?
First pitch was a strike as per GD.
Hard to have a multi-homer game when you aren’t thrown a strike.
Cade 5.05 era
Yankee are bullish on phenom

That was a buzz killer
I didn’t mind the other pickoff, this one I did.
Jazz lacks common sense
Fried having a good day at the office
bullpen-proof?
Needs a couple Judge homers.
A stretcher for his balls?
Fried for the 8th and then Weaver , Leiter, Hill, Doval and Bednar in the 9th to keep the lead
I seriously would have kept Fried out there for the 8th.
Good win.
Second best record in the AL. Crazy, eh?
It’s crazy that they are going to have to win their last nine games to even have a CHANCE to win the division.
Schlittler and Gil, take notice. That is how you pitch with a lead, and not run yourself off the mound in the fifth inning.
Holy shit, right? They have ONE smart pitcher on the entire fucking team.
It does make me feel better about next season, though, with Cole AND Fried at the top of the rotation.
Is Cole around the team at this point? Don’t they say he’s like another pitching coach? He needs to read the youngsters the riot act
Brian, I’m always in favor of leaving a starting pitcher in who’s dealing–but it’s two weeks to the playoffs. With a seven run lead, give him the rest of the night.
Yeah. He might get a blister.
Hoo yeah 100%
Katie S Max Fried got a career-high 28 swings-and-misses tonight vs Orioles.
That’s 7 more whiffs than his previous career-high in a game.
Tonight is the weekly Will Warren sacrifice game vs Trevor Rogers.
Look on the bright side, we’ll have a good crop of wheat because of the human sacrifice
the sharp sun struck day after day, the leaves of the corn became less stiff and erect ”
-As time progresses and summer comes upon the land, the crops’ prospect worsens. Every hope for rain that appears is promptly crushed by nature.
