  1. No fucking excuses about a letdown after the tough 12 games.

No fucking excuses about how they got in late. They’re 20 and 30 something professional athletes.

  2. Here’s what Chisholm said, via MLB.com: “We’re the best team in the league,” Chisholm said. “Any team that thinks they’re better than us, they should know that when we step on the field, we’re coming with relentlessness. We’re coming to step on necks.“

    1. Oh, maybe he hasn’t seen the standings. Because the Brewers are the best team in the league on accounta all them wins they got.

  3. Or maybe the Yankees kinda suck, 27 strike outs in a game and 2/3 and as Binder said a couple of times some of those sliders were hittable.

This team is not good enough or consistent enough to advance in the playoffs.

  4. Imagine if he was facing the Yankees; double digits.

MLB.TV: Top Blue Jays prospect Trey Yesavage set the Blue Jays record for most strikeouts in a big league debut when he fanned his ninth Rays batter … in only the fifth inning.

  5. Saw this one coming. Trap series against a team that really really wants to beat you after reading how you always beat them for 20 years.

Meanwhile weaver is back to who he was as is Grisham.

  6. Katie S Yankees last 2 games

    9/14: G. Crochet, 12 K
    9/15: S. Woods Richardson, 11 K

This is 2nd time in franchise history the Yankees had 11+ K vs an opposing starter in back to back games.

It also happened July 3-4, 1992 vs Nolan Ryan and Jose Guzman (both Rangers)

  7. Katie S Yankees Hitting Last 2 Games:
    30 K, 9 Hits
This is the 1st time in franchise history that Yankees batters had any 2-game span in the regular season with 30+ K and fewer than 10 Hits

Since joining the Yankees, Camilo Doval has now allowed 5 of 7 (71%) of inherited runners to score.
