    1. We’ve all rightly been disappointed with the work Rowson has done here so far, but his past experience with Chisholm involved him developing Chisholm’s power stroke (which has vanished in recent years), and so if he could just continue to work with Chisholm like that, that’d be amazing.

    1. Frankly, if they win Game 2 the way a bad team is supposed to win, I won’t complain.

    2. Game 1 was how a good team is suppose to win. Now do we shit the bed against another LHP?

Looks like it, and now Cole is shitting the bed, as well.

  1. This team is offensively challenged at 1B, 2b and LF. For now and probably for the rest of the season at DH. I don’t know which Volpe is the real one and the jury’s out on Jazz.

  2. Wait until they lose tomorrow, that would be losing 4 of 6 to the Angels and Rangers at home (where they already have a mediocre home record).

This team shows energy in one game, then asleep the next. That’s on Boone.

    1. It’s not a matter of energy, it’s a matter of talent. Was there a better option than Verdugo? What if he resigned Sevvy at 2/3 the cost of Stroman. Was it a good move to sign. Was it smart to sign Caleb, Gonzales and Santana instead of someone who was good?
      Cashman’s just an unlucky guy.

  3. Half the lineup is average or worse, 1/3 clearly worse. The team can’t hit LHPs. A problem Cash never addressed. Two of our starters are probably among the worst 5 in baseball. Cashman’s relief corps of retreads and rejects are pitching to their ability. For all the shit Holmes gets, and deserved, he’s clearly our best relievers.

  4. Maybe Hal shouldn’t have been so generous and do two single pay doubleheaders, and instead he should have done separate gates. Maybe the time between, which is greater, would have allowed the sleepy Yankees a nice nap time.

    Oh, and DFA DJ.

  5. RAB “Blown out for the third time in four games against two teams that are a combined 22 games under .500. About to drop to 10-19 in the last 29 home games.”

It’s all in front of us.

    1. But if they go 500 the rest of the way they’ll win 92 games and make the playoffs. (And lose in round 1.) another successful baseball season for a gigantic payroll.

  6. phenom now 0/15, 2/24. He’ll never be good. At best he’ll be a glove first SS with an occasional hot streak. Major disappointment after what we saw early in the season.

    1. He hasn’t put a good month together in his career, like maybe offensive player of the month stuff.

Judge’s personal hitting coach was right in what he said a while back about the organization.

    2. He’s still young, but it is looking more and more like your statement is correct. Overall, that’s still a nice player, but disappointing and frustrating, since he can look so good.

    1. i have no idea what they’re waiting for, he should play for a month straight in left.

    2. He’s not hitting, 214/567 in July, 154/385 in August. I don’t know what’s wrong.
