    1. Why in the fuck wouldn’t you have just fucking walked him with first base open, two outs, and a 3-0 count?! Just MORONIC pitching by Fried.

  1. phenom really is a head case. We throw that term around too much. He’s a well below MLB hitter. But talent wise he’s at least an average short stop. Even bad short stops aren’t this bad. This is a choke job like I’ve never seen before. Maybe Knoblauch at 2B. Maybe Mackey Sasser. +14 OAA last year, -3 this year. Leads all of baseball in errors. I feel bad for him but he needs some kind of therapy.

  2. At the VERY least, they can’t bat Goldy at the top of the lineup against righties. If they INSIST on him playing for defense, then whatever, but bat him sixth or lower. Do not bat this fucking dude anywhere near the top of the lineup. It’s just MADNESS.

  3. That was a strike easy, it wasn’t even on the line, it
was inside the box. Are the umpires getting worse? My long time solution only half the umps should be allowed to call balls and strikes.

  4. I don’t think Volpe is busted, but he needs some time off. Send him to AAA to reset. The Yankees will cook him if they just let him continue to fail.

  5. Rays were in free fall, but the Yankee showed them the meaning of free fall. Without Judge are the Rays the better hitting team? They pitch better. They defend better.

    1. I don’t know it’s hard to tell. Remember when Mussina couldn’t get anybody out for half a season? Volpe OTOH is making errors on plays that high school players could make.

    1. In all seriousness, I would have pulled him at 3-0 to the catcher. He clearly was out of it. Just give a reliever a CHANCE to get the out.

  6. Three run lead with a runner on first, two outs, and the #9 hitter at the plate, or two-run lead with a runner on second, two outs and the leadoff hitter at the plate? Which one is a better spot for a reliever, Boone, you fucking idiot?
