Sure would be nice if the Yankees’ “ace” could pitch like one in a big game.
Sure would be nice…
It won’t happen, but it sure would be nice.
If their ace can’t go 9 it probably won’t matter.
Gotta love these six pitch innings.
Their infielder makes an unbelievable play. Some of ours can’t even throw the ball to first.
Escarra has thrown out one runner attempting to steal out of 20 and is hitting 213/659.I wouldn’t agree that he’s “really good.”
It says “how to serve fans”
Do Wah Diddy
Is Rice’s D at catcher suspect? His bat is much better than JC’s and PGold could bail Volpe out.
Be nice if Jasson got hot.
Despite what Kay said 3.1ip 5r 4h 3bb for Gil seems discouraging.
Another good pitcher we’re turning into an ace. And not a left hander.
One hit through 4-innings. Another pitcher chewing up Yankees bats and spitting them out as toothpicks.
When you hit 148/449 you’re not supposed to have bobbles.
This team can’t string hits together. If they can hit 3 or more home runs every game they might be ok. Five hits Monday, six yesterday and 1 so far today. Once a pitcher gets to the seven hitter, it’s very easy sledding. 212/676, 219/651,148/449. YUK!
It is all so pathetic.
Well, Volpe is safe for the rest of the season.
And next.
Fried melting down, Yankees doomed.
The hallmark of all Boone teams-fundamental soundness.
It’s everybody’s fault but Boone’s or Cashman’s
Walking a 217 hitter, Schneider, and on 4-pitches.
Yankee pitchers have walked bad hitters all season.
What the fuck did Cashman see in Escarra?
So selfish not hitting a ground ball to the right side.
Judge!
WOW!
Are guys allowed to hit doubles with men on?
And the Yankees go to Lo.
Awful game by Fried.
JC helped. And Peraza with a “slight bobble” which is unacceptable from a sub 150 hitter.
Defensive clinic
I don’t think I have EVER seen an outfielder losing the ball that Bradley at 9pm playing outdoors. NEVER!
Eff this.
Four errors now, Boone runs a tight ship.
Effross another winner
Is Jasson Dominguez a true major league player? He plays the outfield like a true DH and he hits like a late inning middle infield defensive replacement.
Boone = fundamentals
Boston came back from down 5
Ah, well. Judge erases their chance with that DP.
Let’s walk the number 9 hitter. Its the Yankee way
How many runs did the Yankees score this series on base hits? Sac files? I think the answer is zero
How many unearned runs did Toronto score this series? I think 6. ?
The worst managed team since…I can’t remember but probably 1990.
Cashman should really make a move at managerial change.
“We’ve got really good defenders.”
Fuck, Boston ended up beating Philly in 11. Narvaez redeemed himself after his problems in the first two games with a game-winning home run.
Still two games up on Boston. But ooph.
They have Narvaez but we have JC FUCKING ESCARRA 205/636. 1/20 catching base stealers. Thanks Cash.
Oh Whitlock and Kriske. But he stole Verdugo.
The Rays at least seem DONE, as they blew a game late to the fucking WHITE SOX.
I’m thinking the same about the Yankees.
Feinsand The Yankees have interest in Ryan McMahon as a backup plan to Eugenio Suarez, sources said, as they try to upgrade at third base. McMahon is controlled through 2027, earning $16 million in each of the next two seasons.
I doubt they will get Suarez as the D’acks want the top prospects; pass. Changing managers won’t cost a single prospect.
McMahon would be an AWFUL move. He’s “only” owed $11.7 million under luxury tax purposes, but that’s too fucking much!
Pinstripe Alley: I feel compelled to revisit what the New York Post wrote about the Yankee meltdown in last year’s World Series:
“…the Yankees were talent over fundamentals. That if you run the bases with purpose and aggression, the Yankees will self-inflict harm…[The Dodgers] were amazed how many times relay throws came skittering through the infield with no one taking charge and how often Jazz Chisholm Jr., for example, was out of place or just standing still when a play was in action.”
The only thing that’s changed is now we have less talent.
If only Hal had 25% of his father’s interest in winning.
Katie S Max Fried has allowed 17 runs over his last 4 games.
That’s tied for his most runs allowed in any 4-game span within a season in his career (also 2019).
He’s obviously a good pitcher overall, but holy shit, has he crumbled under pressure in a REALLY pathetic way.
FWIW 2-5 with a 5.1 era post season
A much-needed day off for the sizzlin’ Yankees.
After a slow two days for the guy Cash will trade for Ryan McMahon, this afternoon so far
Spence 3-4 with THREE HOME RUNS now back over 400 at 405/1424.
Ryan McMahon? I was thinking Rich Hill.

The AAA pitching seems pretty mediocre, which is the only reason they don’t have Jones as the Yankees #1 prospect. Still, an incredible few weeks for him.
Maybe but his BA is 30 points higher than the league leaders and his OPS is 400 points higher. I was fooled by Ref when he was tearing up AA.
A little slow to adjust MLB Pipeline top 5 Yankee prospects in order Lombard, Lagrange, Schlittler, Spencer Jones, Cunningham.
Cruz the guy Cash got for Narváez is #6.
Fascinating to see Lagrange ahead of Schlittler.
Yeah, it bodes well since LaGrange is 3 years younger with a bigger arm. His big knock was the wildness, but he cut his walk rate in half this season AND increased his K rate while jumping up a level. He could be a monster.
When these guys are ready in 2028 Judge will no longer be Judge.
Blue Jays winning again.
Old friend Geoff Hartlieb shitting against the Blue Jays for ANOTHER team, too!
But yeah, that’s a huge win for the Blue Jays. It’s still early, but the division might just be toast if they’re stomping the Tigers, too (to be fair, the Tigers are in the middle of their own big slump).
Why would Detroit even want Hartlieb? Enns is a former Yankee minor leaguer. I smell sabotage fueled by revenge.
Mariners get Josh Naylor. Jays and Rays interested n Cease.
Updated MLB top 100. Lombard #30, Lagrange and Schittler at 95, 96.
