  1. Warren is the phenom of pitchers. If Michael Pineda were worse, he would be Will Warren. Albies was struggling then the Yankees came to town. Wentz couldn’t get anyone out, then the Yankees came to town. Right now the Yankees are the 3rd, 4th or 5th worse team in baseball.

  2. Why not pull him in the middle of an at bat though? He was clearly gassed during the at bat, and had nothing left in the tank when it was his turn to play in the field.

I guess he needed a manager with some courage.

  3. A starting pitcher who should be pitching for Colorado, hitters that disappear regularly, and an awful pen. This is the team that Cashman built.

  4. Yep, couldn’t get that one big hit as they close to within 7-6. Bases loaded, no outs , sac fly and a ground out for 2-runs, but no one could get a hit there.

Of course, with this bullpen, it probably doesn’t matter.

  5. That was hilarious, because it was both logical (Atlanta has terrible pitching) and shocking (the Yankees being filled with losers).

I take nothing from Williams struggle. Week off and a four run lead, I’d expect struggles from most closers.

  6. Was looking at Yankee top prospects for 2016. Jorge Mateo was a near universal choice as their top prospect. Sanchez and Judge were either 23 or 32 with Fangraphs having Acevedo at 2 and Judge at 4. In 2015 Judge hit 255/770 between AA and AAA, in 2016, age 24th hit 270/854 in AAA.
