Giancarlo Stanton hit a home run last night, so of course he can’t DH tonight.
This is a tough, tough series for the Yankees, as they face a good Cubs team who are throwing their two best pitchers and Flexen, who has had a great start for the Cubs, as well. Rodon, meanwhile, is in the middle of one his annoying ass slumps where he just sucks for a while. So…not great. That said, Rodon also got some good news when he was named as an All-Star replacement for Fried (Fried is pitching Saturday, and he feels he doesn’t have enough time to be ready for the All-Star Game on Tuesday).
I’m not sure if Flexen is a good baseball name or not
Any first inning that Rodon doesn’t give up a bunch of runs is a good one, I guess.
Strange that Stanton isn’t starting.
Obviously, it didn’t matter in the end, but any time Jazz gets on base and DOESN’T steal it just mystifies me. Why are you passing up something as game-changing as Jazz’s ability to steal bases?
Flexen got lucky there that it was only a sac fly.
Not so lucky against Belli.
Good way to extend a hitting streak.
Judge with a defensive highlight reel
Good thing that kid missed. Is it different if a home town fan interferes with a home town fielder
Thank goodness Judge is tall.
Poor guy just folded a winner in the WSOP and the announcers are humiliating him.
This Volpe thing is beyond a slump.Nobody is this bad. He needs some psychotherapy.
Everybody who was ready to get rid of Cody in April please sign in.
Spencer 3-4 with a home run he’s at 417/1337 12 games in. Hes
never hit close to this in AA, even over a small number of games.

I truly don’t get it. He can’t be THIS good, can he?
Big guy, learning his body. Jorge dint make it to the majors until he was 26. Bautista wasn’t much until he was 29.
Volpe building on the momentum from yesterday’s slide.
Hey, Tampa Bay, four runs ain’t going to be enough.
Correct.
He got out of it but leaving a clearly tired Rodon in to face Tucker is malpractice
Eight run lead and he’s fucking around with guys. Luckily, Judge is having himself a DAY in the field.
UPDATE: Belli good
Up ten do they still go to Lo?
Yankees hitting like Toronto and Boston.
Beeter proof?
Effross proof.
Be nice if Effross were a thing.
I told you that four wasn’t going to be enough, Tampa Bay.
