  1. 4-9 against Baltimore, Boston and Atlanta look l8ke championship caliber. And sure Sale and Fried are terrific but you don’t win a championship if you can’t beat terrific pitchers.

  2. Stanton was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday’s game against the Braves, marking his eighth trip to the IL in the past six seasons. In a corresponding move, the Yankees recalled infielder Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said there was no word yet on the severity of the strain for Stanton, who underwent an MRI on Sunday in New York, but the club believed it would be significant enough to cost him time. Stanton missed 43 games last season with a left hamstring strain.

    1. So unlike them to immediately admit that an injury is definite, let alone that it doesn’t look good.
He must be dead, and have been ressurected, and died again.

    2. The fact that he missed 43 games with a hamstring injury suggests it probably will be that again. He’s pretty consistent with how his body breaks down.

    3. Brian, yes, absolutely. But you’re discussing reality, and I’m talking about the Yankees consistently bizarre approach to public relationships.

  3. Stanton said he expects to miss about 4 weeks. So double it and add a month of suckage. He got a PRP injection today.
So Stanton, Rizzo and The Martian should all be ready about September the itstoolateth, but DJ and Gleyber feel fine.
