It’d be nice if Max Fried could step it up like he didn’t against Toronto. I’m assuming something like him pitching 8 shutout innings and Williams blows it in the ninth, or Fried giving up six runs in five innings. One or the other.
Yanks win 3-1 on a largely boring and competent outing by max fried. judge and wells both homer and devin williams closes out a scary 9th because of a defensive miscue more than his own inability to make pitches.
now that ive written the recap in advance i think ill catch up on some reading.
Sub lose for win and change a few names.
Great job on the HR predictions. Not sure Williams won’t blow the save if he gets a chance.
Hope the reading went well.
Max Fried after a loss blah, blah, blah. Try not losing so often.
The wisdom of Flash. The Yankees need to get off to a lead. Yesterday after Cody’s double if this doesn’t get the dugout going.
Stanton 220/628 which is about what you’d like from your fill in middle infielder.
phenom sub Mendoza against RHPs, 653/826. Last year he had no split. Yankee need to get down a minimum of 4 before they have any interest in hitting.
I can’t quit you
Reading is fundamental. Glad to know that between you and the Yankees roster, there’s at least one person with fundamentals.
Fried is still fun to watch
townies already blowing away the Nats. They’re only 3.5 out of second. Yankees could easily be in 4th by the middle of next month.
Just throw anybody on the mound and the Yankees won’t hit them.
Fried at 54 pitches through 3-innings, not good.
Volpe with an RBI ground ball out. I guess we should be happy as it is the legend-in-the-making Zach Pop on the mound.
I like cherry Zack Pop.
Judge with a 2-run HR, looked like it was off the end of the bat too.
Okay, what gaggle of bullpen arms will blow this one.
Don’t like it. When’s the last time the Yanks scored 5 runs and won?
Fried tying his hardest to get the Mets back in this game.
6 or 7 games
Oof! Eighty-four pitches and counting in the 5th inning.
Peraza 131 ABs hitting 155. How is this a thing?I could understand if phenom didn’t suck and Wells wasn’t so disappointing.
Hoch Fasten your seatbelts. The Yankees bullpen needs to get 12 outs and hold a three-run lead.
Hitting or walking the first batter a
Yankee specialty.
Embrace the adversity. it’s all in front of us. We just have to take it.
There are no magic inducing pitching coaches.
Insanity
The bullpen back at it, I see. Mets closing in on the 🧹.
Big moment here for Judge.
Well, a sac fly is better than a DP.
Spencer Jones BLASTS this ball to the Bronx at 113.4 mph and 445 ft.

Another Volpe fail.
phenom adds to his MLB leading number of LOB with an uncompetitive AB.
A good manager wouldve used Jazz or Rice there. First and third and you leave 2 infinitely better hitters on the bench.
phenom RISP 202, late inning pressure 186. Why would they give Cody anything to hit?
LeMahieu cannot believe it.
Really? If it missed, it missed by a fraction of an inch.
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO KNOWING THERE ARE TWO STRIKES?
The pitch was WAY too close to play that stupid game with 2 strikes, just foul the f*ing pitch off if you’re in doubt!
Especially DJ who should know how to handle the bat.
Ump being kind to Devin
A five ball strike out of Lindor for Devin
Ump was pretty much ass all around all game but Christmas came early for the Yanks in the ninth.
Jays, Bosox have also won. Rays tied in the top of the 9th.
Thank goodness the Yankees won with the other three teams all winning.
The Blue Jays have an insanely easy schedule this week (White Sox and Athletics).
The division is likely out of reach for quite a while.
Bizarrely, they host the Yankees again on the 21st.
Give credit where it’s due; Boone didn’t do the same stupid thing he did in game 1 and he let hill keep pitching. Ok granted he didn’t have much of a choice but yay.
