I hope Clarke Schmidt is feeling okay.
Eight straight no-hit innings for Schmidt. I doubt he will take much solace from that fact. 🙂
I don’t think I’ve ever watched Schmidt pitch before. Has he always had that funny little double pump of the knees before he delivers? I do love a funky setup and delivery
Okay, at least his “no-hitter” is broken up.
This ump is terrible
Yesterday only 1 legit run. , Today none. But there’s no problem. Stanton 258/633.
Judge slumping is obviously a huge problem.
Suzie was surprised the Yankees included Sears in the Montas trade.
I don’t miss Sears. This team can just suck against pretty much anyone when it slumps.
Stanton 250/)614 lowest OPS in the lineup.
Maybe try mixing in some strikes instead of only throwing balls.
No Rocco, not how about JP Sears, more like how about how the Yankees hitters suck. DJ sucks. Martian still looks terrible against LHP. Gianni is not ready. Judge in slumping. Only Jazz looks good.
Some players with dreads and cool sunglasses would fix the Yankees
Judge needs to eat his spinach
Stanton needs to get in a time machine and go back to 2017.
Yankees suck
Yankees one of only two teams without a win trailing by 3 or more in 7th. Yanks helped Cincy l end there’s. Stroman pitching tomorrow..All good news.
So, we play tomorrow, we lose tomorrow. Getting used to losing, as they’ve been losing a lot. This may well be the longest worst stretch of offense by the Yankees since the collapse in the mid 1960s.
It’s weird, the game is ultimately on the offense, but, at the same time, what the fuck, Schmidt?

Yesterday 3 runs, 1 legit, 4 hits, 3 legit. Today no runs, 2 hits and the Alan Winans experience has ended. The Marcus Stroman debacle returns tomorrow.
Judge’s BABIP was still an unsustainable 440 coming in to today’s game. BABIP correction is a bitch.
He’s played a lot. I’d give the big fella tomorrow off. Stroman’s starting so they’re as much as conceding anyway.
Before today last 15 days Yanks 24th runs, 22nd in OPS. 30 days 23/16
Winans will always have the first 3 innings of his Yankee start to remember.
Please keep the shutout intact.
Throw strikes
Stanton 235/581. Only Peraza is worse.
GameDay called that a fielders choice out.YAY SHUTOUT!
RIP Dave “The Cobra” Parker. A fave of mine from childhood, and while he missed getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, he lived long enough to know that he made it into the Hall of Fame, and, let’s be honest, that’s the much more significant thing.
R.I.P. Dave Parker.
Rays up 4-0 in the 4th inning.
JP Sears era over 8 last 8 starts, A’s pen worst era in baseball equals a shutout. Yet no one is shocked.
Oh yeah, it was unbelievably bad today.
Next week Jays and mutts could be a bloodbath.
The Boys of Shea, 3-7 last 10 games, are playing worse than the Yankees.
Not possible.
Yep. And with Judge’s BABIP still correcting, ouch.
Austin Wells’ wRC+ is now 92 on the season, good for 25th among all catchers with at least 100 plate appearances.
25. Austin Wells, 92
25. Agustin Ramirez, 92
27. Francisco Alvarez, 91

Most disappointing Yankee after a good summer last year and a great ST, I stupidly forgave him last Autumn
J.C. Escarra actually has a higher OPS 753 to 699.
Paul Goldschmidt starts the 6th with a single, the Yankees’ second hit of the day.
Goldschmidt was in a 11-for-83 slide and 0 for his last 20 before that.

Jazz right now is the only hitter with a pulse. Judge last 15 games 182/308/382. Man when you slump, you don’t have to totally disappear. Then there’s DJ 652 who is an everyday player and in his last 15 games is 195/233/220-453! No bench. No minor league help. Cash really shined by extending Hixie and DJ, getting Gallo, Donaldson, IKF and Verdugo.
Did the Mets seriously lose two games to the Pirates by a combined 18-3 score?!
Yes, yes they did.
The Boys of Shea lose again, now 2-8 in their last 10 games.
First time Ive been to a movie theater in years. Beats the hell out of streaming.
What did you go see?
Sinners. Totally original, loved it.
Sinners was great, I was lucky enough to catch it in IMAX this spring. Killer.
Pinstripe Alley: There is a scene at the end of the 2009 Star Trek film. James T. Kirk approaches Captain Pike and says, “I relieve you, sir,” to which Captain Pike replies, “I am relieved.”
I thought of that, for no particular reason, as the Yankee bats made JP Sears look like Peak Tom Glavine and the Athletics bullpen look like the 1990 Reds on Saturday in the Bronx.
“We are the Yankee offense.”
“You are offensive.”
However, whether he gave up one run or four was irrelevant. The offense was missing in action. Against a pitcher who has been a walking batting practice machine in 2025, and a team that entered the day with a bloated ERA, the Yankee bats were completely useless, falling to the A’s by a 7-0 final score.
O/U runs allowed by Stroman. I say, 4.5.
