    Amazing.
    Don’t think you could hit the fielder on every try for this many RISP if you trained for it for years.

  2. I am now officially tending to believe that Rice is not going to be what he was in the first 1/3 of the season. I wonder what his numbers are since his peak.

    1. It’s a mixed bag. If you’re aggressive, you make them have to make a play. A certain proportion of the time they won’t.

    1. Cool that we get a few good defensive plays to cheer for, given that actually scoring runs of our own isn’t really an option.

  3. It is, of course, not physically possible to have a scoreless inning after your offense miraculously actually scores runs.
    So you can’t blame the pitchers or defense, it’s outside of their control.
