Until they hit even a LITTLE bit, how can we give the slightest shit about this team?
Last time they faced each other, Zach Neto DESTROYED Will Warren, so let’s see what happens this time.
Wake up, Yankees bats, wake up
Wake up, Yankees bats, wake up
You’ve all been sound asleep, wake up, Yankees bats, or weep
The game’s over, it’s four o’clock, and we’re in trouble deep
Wake up Yankees bats
Wake up Yankees bats
Well, what are you gonna tell Brian?
What are you gonna tell Yankee Calla?
What are we gonna tell RLYW?
When they say, “Ooh la la!”
Wake up, Yankees bats
Wake up, Yankees bats
Well, you told Brian that you’d win by ten
Well, Yankees bats, baby looks like you goofed again
Wake up, Yankees bats
Wake up, Yankees bats
You gotta go home
The Toddfather is kind of a meat head
I can’t even knock Warren for taking so many pitches, as Neto really fouled off some NASTY pitches before K’ing.
That was a very impressive first inning by Warren.
In theory should beat up on this guy
At least the Martian saw some pitches.
Tough call against Judge sure won’t keep him from expanding the zone.
It kills me when Judge and Stanton get bad calls against them, because it just inspires them to swing at anything.
Already 0-1 with runners in scoring position. Awesome. Now something like 21 innings of scoreless baseball for the Yankee hitters.
Twenty one innings. Blackjack! Can we score now?
Wow, a two-out hit with a runner in scoring position! Is that even ALLOWED?
Not an easy play but one DJ should’ve made.
Agreed.
DJ doing it all with the bat AND the glove
Goldy HAS to be a smarter hitter than Volpe with Jazz on first, right?
And on cue, nope, Goldy swings first pitch like a moron.
What is Goldy DOING?! He swung at a ball way outside the strike zone when, again, he could just let Jazz steal!!
Holy shit, did that piss me off so fucking much.
Every time Jazz gets on to first, he should steal second. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
When he doesn’t, it pisses the shit out of me.
Back to back strikeouts, and Jazz is still on fucking first base. This is madness.
If these guys aren’t going to give a fuck, why should I even pay attention to this awful fucking baseball?
Can’t hit 98. Can’t hit 88. A complete approach.
Why can’t phenom learn to bunt for hits like that?
And now the defense is fucking awful. Fuck this entire team.
A little tougher play than the one DJ didn’t make, but maybe should’ve been made.
I truly would prefer a three-run home run here than a fucking walk. You CANNOT walk him here, dude.
And he didn’t. Phew.
Imagine if this team had any offense at all. Then maybe a 3-0 deficit in the bottom of the third wouldn’t feel like a total death sentence.
DJ now 1-12 with a strikeout each of the last 4 games.
Yankees 1 of only 3 teams that haven’t come back from 3+ runs down. And that includes earlier in the season when they were hitting.
Hendricks 4-6 with a 5.20 era coming in.
It really doesn’t matter WHO is pitching when they’re all choking like crazy. We saw that last night when the Angels kept throwing shitty relievers and these guys just kept choking.
They can all only get hits if someone isn’t on base.
“No one on base, I guess I can get a hit!”
“Someone’s on base, time for us all to fucking suck ass!”
This washed Hendricks is going to fucking pitch seven scoreless innings.
25 straight scoreless innings. This is truly unbelievable.
He’s expanding the zone again. I get it, everything sucks right now, Judge, but you can’t expand the zone!
Okay, the Yankees fucking suck right now, but Hendricks is also throwing some insanely good shit tonight. He is nailing the corner every at-bat. It’s crazy that he is doing this well while having such a shitty season.
He just made Judge and Bellinger look like idiots. Earlier, LeMahieu took three strikes, each one would have made no sense to swing at, and each one nicked the corner.
I predict the Yankees will score. And lose.
You CANNOT pull Hendricks here.
What are we even doing here?
Sucking. Sucking. And a little more sucking.
They can’t hit, and they also can’t play defense. Awesome combination.
Maybe they collectively came to the realization that Boone needs to go?
Three hits that could’ve been outs with good defense.
The Oilers are down 2-0 after 1 in the Stanley Cup final. Will the Oilers score more goals in 2 periods than the Yankees do in this entire series? All signs point to yes.
Quick 1-2-3 inning. Do they not have any respect for themselves?
le machine est morte
The great Reid Detmers
Aaron Hicks ten year Yankee
When you have so many mediocre hitters in a lineup, stretches like this are likely. The failure of Cashman’s MiL system speaks loud.
No CT please
Maybe the talent base isn’t that great.
If DJ’s renaissance has turned back into the dark ages maybe we’re better off playing Peraza at 3rd and Jazz at 2nd.
So long as they all feel bad about themselves.
First 9 strikeout game for Hendricks since 2020
That’s baseball Meredith. “We are one of the best offenses in the league. Today maybe we were pressing a little bit. Just focus on what we do, on our process.”
Katie S Yankees last 3 games:
0 Runs, 33 K, 24 Left on Base
They are the only team since at least 1901 to have any 3-game span with:
✅0 runs
✅33+ K
✅24+ Left on Base
There are two seasons where the Yankees had 6-game spans with:
✅5 or fewer runs
✅5 or more losses
They happened in 2025 and 1908.
The only team to win the World Series in the same season that they were shut out in 3 straight regular games was the 1913 Philadelphia A’s.
So a championship is within reach
Not sure what that first stat means. 24 LOB means they don’t stink as much as others who have been shut out 3 times in a row. Right? They just stink with runners on base. That’s gotta change, right? Right???
Bottom line is they went into the season with no 3b, hoping for a rookie in LF, a SS who has proven he’s an out maker, hoping an old 1b would have a bounce back year… this team is not championship caliber.
Effross back to Scranton presumably for Brubaker.
Kirschner: By the way, Jack Kochanowicz, who’s starting for the Angels tomorrow has the worst ERA among all starters. Kyle Hendricks had the 2nd-worst entering tonight.
Every pitcher deserves a chance to lower their ERA.
It’s HOPE Week after all.
