What the fuck ever.
This is going to be a disappointment.
Can’t be when I have no expectations at all! I just wanted them to not embarrass themselves, and they couldn’t do that in Games 1 and 2, so what could possibly disappoint me in this one?
… for the Dodgers!
Aww, ma, do we have to?
Can Yarborough fool LA with his 75 mph slop?
Martian almost Jorged
Austin so disappointing. I hope he chose a very good pitch to first pitch swing at with Y struggling.
I was just texting my brother, “He better take that first pitch.” But nooope.
He should’ve treated that AB like a 3-0 count with a green light
A rare GOOD LeMahieu groundball.
Even Goldy’s choking. Blech.
Y, enjoy your run.
1-5 RISP, 4 LOB.
Five runs before an out in the third inning in game 1; three runs since in the last 18 innings, 2 on Judge HR’s.
And Just Like That Carrie
In all seriousness, I think there might be something to them juicing the balls this series. Everything is SO HARD off of the bat.
We know MLB messes with the ball occasionally, and this would be the series to do it.
Shockingly, 1-run isn’t enough.
That really Carried
Penance Austin tho it would’ve helped more last time.
Rice, nice.
Yankees number 1 method of getting men in.
1-7 tonight, 1-25 recently. DJ and Peraza back to back with men on is a problem.
When it’s Jazz #6, Volpe #7, Wells #8, LeMahieu #9, that’ll help a BIT.
This staff has a new ace
What if Yarborough is our 3rd our 4th best pitcher? A left handed Stu Miller or Jaimie Moyer?
Boing boing goes the dead cat
Pinch hit here?
No!
Hits with RISP is a good thing.
Oddly choky game for Goldy.
Looking at this inning, exit velo must be unimportant.
What’s the plan going forward?
Yarbrough every four days
Lo H. Devin BH. Weaver ?
If Lo is going to suck….
That’s the thing, though, right? Is Lo sucking, or are they just really good hitters, and the ball is flying?
They’re just crushing every fucking reliever the Yankees send out there. It’s insane.
Fangraphs has LA 75% to win.
You just have to hypnotize Williams into thinking it’s the eighth inning every game.
I think it’s more likely that his fastball isn’t nearly as good as it was last year. So the changeup only plays on nights when he’s really locating.
I 100% don’t mean this as a defense of LeMahieu, but just in general, when a single good night can increase your OPS by, like, 200 points, it’s probably too soon to judge a dude much one way or the other.
So, you know, like, “LeMahieu is batting .175” doesn’t mean much when the sample size is so small.
Well I’ll be a ring tailed monkey
Who is that guy?
With a day off tomorrow why not just go to Weaver rather than wait to see if Hill gets into trouble?
A. Do not like Tim Hill here. Just secure the fucking win with Weaver.
B. Tim Hill, THROW FUCKING STRIKES
The guys who always bet the dog had a good weekend.
It definitely did make me feel better that they made THEIR ace look bad, too.
And they did it without Judge contributing.
Weaver hurt. Awesome.
Dominguez also hurt. Double awesome.
Boone on Weaver hopes it’s not too serious. Martian jammed his thumb in a lot of pain. In case you missed it he slid into the base with his ungloved hand.
Martian says he’s not too concerned.
Jasson… See you in September … (Hope I am wrong).
