  1. Athletic all quarter century team Yadier Molina, Pujols, Altuve, Jeter, Beltran, Bonds, Trout, Judge, Jamba DH. Rotation Verlander, Kershaw, Halladay, Scherzer, Randy. Closer Mo

  2. Great game by Skubal today, who was a 9th round draft pick. ‘But the Yankees never draft high’ crowd take notice, there are gems available. You just need a competent organization plus some luck, and the Yankees have neither.

    1. would love to see the Tigers other 9th round picks. if they really knew he was so good why’d they take him so late?

    2. It’s weird that the Tigers drafted Ethan Sloan in the eighth round, possibly losing Tariq Skubal, who they knew was going to be great.

  3. Skubal’s last pitch today, which ended the game, was 102.6 MPH, the fastest strikeout pitch by a starter since the pitch-tracking era began in 2008.

  4. I really hate rooting against players, but I just don’t believe that DJLM’s presence isn’t an awful trap. And that it would be better if he didn’t play, and even better if he weren’t on the team.

  5. Dominguez takes walks, steals some bases, does some situational hitting (fly balls), and his defense will improve.
But I’m expecting more than this. Specifically, more power.

    1. Oddly, I’m not sold on him DEFENSIVELY, but he seems to have some idea at the plate.

    2. They say he’s good at pitch framing.Hitting TBD, but Narvaez is 299/850. As for Vivas 167/528 I just don’t see it.

    1. It isn’t talent that gets you bloops.
These haven’t all been bloops, but you’d have at least one more out and one fewer baserunner without one bloop.

  6. Ohtani hits a HR in the first inning, instant front page on MLB.com. Alonso hits a 2-run HR bottom of the first, Ohtani still on MLB.com front page. A day or two ago, Ohtani scored a run, front page on MLB.com for well over an hour. Not too, too obvious.
