    1. Walking Bichette on five pitches set the tone. Multiple meltdowns by Rodon that inning.

  1. What kind of moronic lunacy was that, Scnmots?
They better not use the challenge system with pitches like that, because it was almost a ball.
Meaning – yes, it was a strike, but it should be called a ball?
Well, then where’s the line where it SHOULD be called a strike? And then what if you’re just barely within THAT?
You honestly have an argument against getting the calls right?
    Idiot.

  2. Rodon is so, so fucking frustrating.

We KNOW he doesn’t need to suck. This isn’t some young pitcher where you really don’t know whether he might suck or not. We KNOW Rodon doesn’t need to suck, and yet, he routinely sucks because he’s the dumbest pitcher in the world.

    1. Coming into this season, I think Cashman was totally fine with Wells being as bad as he was last season, since he’s such a good defensive catcher. But then Wells was, like, “Oh, you were okay with my shitty offense from last year? Well, what if I was MUCH worse than that?”

    2. Wells, 21 HRs and 71 RBIs in 2025, so far in 2026, 3HRs and 5 RBIs. Historically bad and sad.

    1. That was a GREAT piece of pitching by Weaver. Those first two strikes were basically perfectly placed, so he knew Grisham had to swing after that, so he threw a great breaking pitch.

The Rosario strikeout was a lot worse. Rosario was just flailing out there.

    2. If he swung, he wasn’t making contact there. It was perfectly placed.

Weaver, when he’s on, perfectly places pitches. He just hasn’t been on very often.

  3. Mr. 171/650 and he can’t get a run in. Of course no one expected Volpe to do anything. They need a quality bat for when Stanton does his inevitable long IL tour.

    1. This pen is not good. When Hill is your second most reliable reliever you’re in trouble.
This offense is so totally top heavy.

    1. Yep, bad game all around.

The offense wasn’t much better. I’m now actively dreading Rodon starts.

At least I’m actively looking forward to Schlittler, Weathers, and Warren starts at the moment!

And I WILL look forward to Cole starts.

Elmer is whatever at the moment.
