Sure would be nice if Carlos Rodón showed something tonight.
Is the subway series really still that intense, especially with George gone?
Small ball hit em where they ain’t.
Why is everybody, anybody walking phenom?
Somebody actually walked Volpe.
They deserve to lose.
Then came Wells.
Marlins score 8-runs in the 10th, win 10-5.
This cannot be good
Rodon losing his mojo in the third
Come on, Rodon! Come ON!
That was the most little league play I’ve seen since little league.
Crisp play. You can never count on Rodon
Walking Bichette on five pitches set the tone. Multiple meltdowns by Rodon that inning.
The Yankees sad offense struggling again.
John Schmaltz drives me batty.
What kind of moronic lunacy was that, Scnmots?
They better not use the challenge system with pitches like that, because it was almost a ball.
Meaning – yes, it was a strike, but it should be called a ball?
Well, then where’s the line where it SHOULD be called a strike? And then what if you’re just barely within THAT?
You honestly have an argument against getting the calls right?
Idiot.
Rodon would have kicked ass tonight if innings were only two outs long.
Do the Yankees not have a catcher at Scranton who can hit say 225?
Rodon 3.2i 3r 3h 3bb and a WP. What a POS.
Can’t believe it’s just the 5th inning!
Plenty of time for more Yankees non-hitting!
Can PGold play third?
And the vaunted pen. Why pull bird this quick this early in the game
The sad journey of Austin Wells continues.
Rodon is so, so fucking frustrating.
We KNOW he doesn’t need to suck. This isn’t some young pitcher where you really don’t know whether he might suck or not. We KNOW Rodon doesn’t need to suck, and yet, he routinely sucks because he’s the dumbest pitcher in the world.
There’s bad and there’s Austin Wells
Coming into this season, I think Cashman was totally fine with Wells being as bad as he was last season, since he’s such a good defensive catcher. But then Wells was, like, “Oh, you were okay with my shitty offense from last year? Well, what if I was MUCH worse than that?”
Wells, 21 HRs and 71 RBIs in 2025, so far in 2026, 3HRs and 5 RBIs. Historically bad and sad.
Jazz’s incompetence comes through!
Terrible bunt, very lucky.
Clutch time in Yankees-land.
I can’t believe Weaver is giving Rosario anything to hit 0-2. He’s been swinging at everything!
Awful, awful at-bat by Rosario. I agreed with the idea of letting him hit, but holy shit, was that bad.
Wow, were those first two pitches to Grisham good.
This is the best Weaver has looked since, like, early 2025.
That didn’t look like a good AB by Trent but if you look under the hood it was a great AB.
That was a GREAT piece of pitching by Weaver. Those first two strikes were basically perfectly placed, so he knew Grisham had to swing after that, so he threw a great breaking pitch.
The Rosario strikeout was a lot worse. Rosario was just flailing out there.
The second pitch, which he watched, needed to be swung at.
If he swung, he wasn’t making contact there. It was perfectly placed.
Weaver, when he’s on, perfectly places pitches. He just hasn’t been on very often.
I don’t like Weaver sucking against everyone else, but doing great this inning.
grisham, two nights in a row with the challenges. yikes
Mr. 171/650 and he can’t get a run in. Of course no one expected Volpe to do anything. They need a quality bat for when Stanton does his inevitable long IL tour.
Volpe shouldn’t be THIS useless. It’s quite annoying that you KNOW he ain’t getting a hit.
If even Tim Hill is going to suck, it’s just not their night.
Another shaky night by the bullpen.
This pen is not good. When Hill is your second most reliable reliever you’re in trouble.
This offense is so totally top heavy.
Rodon was bad, so was the bullpen.
Yep, bad game all around.
The offense wasn’t much better. I’m now actively dreading Rodon starts.
At least I’m actively looking forward to Schlittler, Weathers, and Warren starts at the moment!
And I WILL look forward to Cole starts.
Elmer is whatever at the moment.
Well, with Williams in for the 9th, there’s still a chance.
Never mind.
Mutts 21-15 against the Yankees since 2019. George would be pissed, Hal not so much.
Curry saying the 10 pitch AB to Torrens might’ve affected Rodon? TEN PITCHES!
Game 7:Rodon or AJ Burnet?
Boone on Wells “Obviously he’s run into some tough left handed matches. Struggling to get on time, it’s a timing issue.”
In addition to a quality bat, they need some bullpen reinforcement.
