Talk about a huge test for Fried’s amazing start to the season! The Yankees might want to try a different tactic than they’ve used in recent Fried starts, and actually SCORE SOME FUCKING RUNS FOR HIM this time.
Frieds 1.11 ERA is lower than Gibson 1.12 in 1968. You know this can’t possibly last. I fear that tonight is the night that we will see it go up bigly.
Boone pissed away his best chances of winning yesterday’s game with two low percentage managerial decision. Which is what he does.
Come on, Fried, stop fucking around with these dudes.
Strike 3
Time for some CTing!
Nah
Belli tried to CT, but he just failed at it. They’ve already scored as many runs as they scored for Fried in his last two starts!
Rice vs LHP this year 655, Martian 504.
That’s why I worry if he’s hurt.
Fried has NOT looked sharp tonight, but you also have to give the Mets credit.
A classic LeMahieu ground ball, but for a hit this time!
Peraza should really steal to make up for not moving the runner over.
Do NOT like that Fried has thrown more pitches than Peterson through two.
According to Cone McNeil’s hit right down the middle to a notorious fast ball hitter.
They’re going to need to score some more runs if Fried can only give them five innings.
Fried pointed to first, I don’t think Wells knew Alonso whiffed.
JUDGE SLUMP
Another sleepy Yankee offensive game.
I’m sure Soto would love to be cheered but after seeing him post game 5 last year I don’t think he really gives much of a shit.
I think fried needs a week off
I’m satisfied to have won 1 of 6 against the mutts this year.
You see Aaron bunting with the top of your lineup up next can be good, with a 170 hitter up and two on yesterday it was mandatory.
Mutts out-Yankeeing the Yankees.
When you’re hitting 203 you need to block that Austin.
After 45 games I can say based on my expectations Wells is the most disappointing Yankee.
It’s hilarious that shitty Fried is still not awful.
Shitty? I don’t think so.
Shitty for FRIED, I mean.
Classic 3-1 popup from Peraza.
Yankees need another bat and another starting pitcher. How can a team carry Peraza, Reyes and Vivas and maybe DJ.
Pitching around the LHB to load the bases and get to phenom.
Wasn’t he first pitch swinging last AB also?
That phenom is hitting 5th against LHPs says a lot about this team.
Battle of the pens. And managers.
Got the ammo for one of those fights.
Wow seven strike outs and he loses the zone.
Yankees falling apart. When you’re hitting 172 you need to make that play.
These reliever walks are just so fucking brutal.
Reyes 160, Vivas 172, Peraza 172 a foolish consistency. I miss Luis Sojo and Miguel Cairo.
Maybe the mutt’s pitching coach is the genius.Their team era .7 lower than the Yankees.
Deja Vu phenom. Redemption?
Volpe sucks, I’m ready to move on
How many balls did phenom swing at? Eight men LOB phenom alone. A one man wrecking crew? Even the ESPN crew is mocking him.
That was one of the more pathetic ABs in Yankee memory.
RAB The “keep putting guys on until you get to Volpe” strategy is working well for the Mets.
As bad of an at-bat as you can possibly have after getting ahead in the count 3-0

Jasson didnt score? Good grief this team is terribly managed; no fundamentals. Cone was talking earlier in the at bat that Jasson wasn’t getting a good lead. And why wouldn’t you send him with a 170 hitter coming up??
Oh that’s why!!
Walks an errors: the Yankee way.
It’s like sacrificing a piece in chess for positional advantage.
Thanks Pete
Did you all notice Soto not running hard on a ground ball possibly costing him a hit.
Genesis Cabrera implies the existence of a Super Nintendo Cabrera.
And/or the existence of an Exodus Cabrera, and Leviticus Cabrera, and Deuteronomy Cabrera.
Miguel Cabrera already had great Numbers.
I approve of this inning
Didn’t pitch yesterday, tomorrow’s off, do you go Weaver?
With a six run lead? You don’t go anywhere near Weaver
My brother was down 5-4 in his fantasy league, and he had Cody Bellinger. He was tied in runs and down two RBIs, and that granny gave him a 6-4 win.
With Stanton all the good players will counterfeit each other. Likely we’ll see two pinch hitters most games.
nice series win. i’m still buying on them figuring stuff out and improving. at the same
time, their sos remaining is basically at the bottom of the league. there are some dangerous teams out there but even more reasons to keep watching.
feels good.
