The annoying thing for ME is that I have all of the headers saved, but the Athletics changed their logos, so I had to do new headers. So, just for that, fuck you, A’s!
I also don’t like that their lineup is looking pretty fucking good right now. You have to wonder if Warren’s seat in the rotation is getting warm at all…
they should bring back the elephant (sorry Brian)
Second that motion
Andujar 320 775
Can’t hit a ball much harder than that. Wow.
Got to the wall in a flash.
I really believe Dominguez is going to break out, but it’s so hard waiting.
As soon as Grisham didn’t score on the double, you KNEW they weren’t scoring.
That was impressive. I want to love the Martian but I think the lineup is less bad when he’s on the bench.
Yes. But they should play him until that’s no longer true. It has to happen.
pretty tidy inning by Warren
I always said this Escarra kid had something
Just so Yankees in that top of the first.
AND the top of the second (granted, it was with two outs, but still).
That was some bad outfielding.
Goldie!
What a play
What the hell was Judge swinging at there?
It is so, so embarassing that two teams are playing in minor league stadiums
Tampa, okay, but maybe it Sternberg wasn’t so fucking greedy they’s have had a new stadium already
hard to believe Manfred is so captured by the owners that he doesn’t see that this is actually bad for the owners
Osvaldo Big Train Bido all of a f*ing sudden.
Goldie putting this team on his back today!
MARS ATTACKS!
PGold on both ends.
That’s what I’m talking about El Marciano.
Nick Kurtz so close to a substitute teacher name.
I could live with this version of Warren.
Why didn’t Grisham score on that single?
Ump called ball ball caught, it was clearly trapped, Yanks requesting replay for runner placement. Grisham knew the ball was trapped, he never stopped running, 100% run should count. Runner placement not reviewable. Big hole in rules for those situations.
I didn’t even need the replay to see that was trapped.
and what’s the challenge about?
They TRIED to challenge whether the runner would have scored from second, but they ultimately were told they weren’t allowed to.
I guess YC answered both my questions
Rice should be out – or should he? Don’t they have to signal whether it was a catch or not, and does he have the right to rely on their signals?
Rice wasn’t out, he relied on ump call.
Yes, that makes sense, it’s what I thought. But the announcers seemed to unconcerned with that possibility that I thought maybe there’s some quirk in the rules.
Mr. Unclutch, Volpe strikes again.
Thanks for all the answers, guys
little league park, little league rules.
Showboat catch
easily the best start of Warren’s career (he says, jinxing it)
Yes Royal
can’t miss prospect, this Escarra kid
JC same swing as the sac fly, his happy place.
Hogan Harris is not a baseball name, gtfo
That loser Judge is not even hitting .400 anymore.
SLUMP WARNING
Warning track power.
Would like to see another run or two because I’d like to see Warren in the 7th with more of a cushion
asked and answered
MARS NEEDS WOMEN!
RIGHT HANDED? Paging Grovers Mill.
lol
Escarra for ROY
79 pitches, bottom of the order coming up, give him the 8th!
Holy shit
welcome to the majors, rook
Conquering the old world
“Elvis Massacred by Martian” would make a decent Weekly World News headline.
Yorbit really does look like a real hitter, right?
Great game by Warren, good job by Boone managing this inning
Come on, Leiter, that was horseshit. Starter was a hero and now this
Three homers and a warning-track sac fly. Not a bad day at the plate for Dominguez. So naturally he’ll sit tomorrow.
This crystallized something for me, which is that Boone’s skillset consists of making players feel happy while making decisions that minimize their talents
After a game like that, he’ll probably sit for a month!

Jasson Domínguez (22 years, 91 days) is the youngest player in Yankees history to hit 3 home runs in a game, passing Joe DiMaggio
Mickey Mantle. It’s always Mickey Mantle. OK usually.
Jasson!!!!!!!
“I really believe Dominguez is going to break out, but it’s so hard waiting.”
Written after his first at bat today.
Thank you, Ja D., for considering my feelings.
you KNOW he refreshes this blog obsessively
for your posts
I do now!
First Yankee with homers from both sides since Neil Walker! Neil Walker?
Hey, he made nearly $52 million in his career. Career 20.0 WAR.
The one Jasson hit RH was a real bomb.
Showboating a literal over the shoulder catch.

I don’t know if it’s the best win of the season, but it’s without a doubt the most promising game for the future of this team.
What a win!
