    1. He’s not walking them. They’re not making him pitch and get back in the strike zone. He gave up three hits and still threw only 11 pitches.
They’re HITTING him, which is a very different thing.

  1. And of course their spot starter gets through the top of the Yankees line-up on NINE pitches!
This is some nightmare bizarro series.
I think the Toronto deal with the Devil not unlikely.

  2. Grisham 490. Stanton 425 for the post season. Trent needs to get on base and Stanton needs to get em in. Stanton especially needs to come up big.

    1. It’s hard to blame phenom for that alome. He doesn’t have a clue what’s happening at the plate.

  3. In the 2025 season, New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe was pinch-hit for a total of two times.

Hard to believe there weren’t more situations that would called for a pinch hitter.

  4. I actually think that Schlittler is being hit a little bit exactly because he was told to go deep in the game, which means not extending at bats and dithering around on the edge of the strike zone, and he’s actually capable of carrying out a game plan.

    1. One would think those numbers would be unsustainable.
One would like to think those numbers would be unsustainable.

    1. Because Boone is an idiot. Volpe hit a home run in game 1 vs Boston. Gotta get him going.

  5. Jazz 182/568. Coming up big. The Jays pen is not exactly the 2015 Royals. There are so many of these fucking games where the offense disappears.

  6. A Leadoff hitter hitting 143/440 and has proven he’s hopeless against LHPs. leads the team in PAs. Cabby and Rosario both play the OF. Maybe Slater should’ve made the squad. There is so much deadwood on this team.

    1. i really don’t get why they didn’t shuffle the lineup more. it wasn’t working. cabby was awesome too.

  7. Yankees embarrassed by Toronto in the regular season and again in the playoffs. I miss George. How long can we fail in the playoffs under Boone and Cash?

  8. pretty sick of jazz looking at his glove after errors, shaking his head at every called strike, talking a lot and then not backing it up.

also, volpe striking out every time.

    1. No they don’t. They believe in Volpe. He’s the future if you want the Yankees to become the Pittsburgh Pirates.

  9. Aaron Boone: “I’m confident we will break through. It’s hard to win the World Series. I’ve been chasing it my whole life.” It is hard to win the World Series but he has a 481 winning % over 52 playoff games.
Aaron Boone if he expects to be managing the Yankees next season: “I’m under contract.” DJ has a contract. Aaron Hicks has a contract. Marcus Stroman has a contract. Arod was released while under contract.

  10. I’m so glad I’m overseas and missed this game.

But my 2018 prediction still holds – they will never win a WS with this manager.

2026 starting pitching looks awesomely great; judge is still judge and even had a good post season. Rice is good. Jazz is annoying but good. I think Jasson will be fine. They have a closer. But if Boone manages, they won’t win.

    1. I think Rice might very well be better next year. He had limited college and minor league experience. I fear unless Jazz gets over himself he might regress. phenom is a lost cause. If they figure out how to use Jasson he might be fine. He has to ditch switch hitting and maybe he’ll be better defensively in center, his natural position.

  11. Maybe Hal should dump Randy Levine and Trosy and hire a new President to help him figure out what to do with Cash and Boone.
What the fuck does Randy Levine do anyway?

    1. I imagine Levine’s indispensable as the only guy who slavers at the opportunity to fire people.
Hey, maybe put him in charge of baseball operations!

  12. Either they tell Jasson to drop the switch hitting or they don’t really care. They are an unserious organization that it took them this long to do that.

    1. Or send him to a f*ing winter league and have him ONLY hit from the weaker side.

  13. The Yankees deprived the Blue Jays of a joyous mob celebration in the middle of the field.
They made the Blue Jays so dominant that beating the Yankees just wasn’t a big enough deal to get worked up about.
