Dylan Cease is a tough matchup for the Yankees. Marcus Stroman has to be feeling the pressure of trying not to be the guy who fucks up the amazing streak of games started by Yankee starters of at least five innings and two runs or less. Let’s hope he moves the streak to the next guy to fuck up!
Volpe getting on base ahead of an Aaron Judge RBI is something I could enjoy for the next five years
They should just let Soto call balls and strikes
What’s the old story? “I’ll call it a strike when Mr. Williams says it is”?
I recall hearing it about Honus Wagner, but yeah, could apply equally to Ted Williams. Or Juan Soto.
Judge in May
.400/.526/1.000
Next year he needs to get in shape and not dog it in April.
Pitching around a leadoff triple is pretty good
Judge has a 1.450 Ops in May. That’s insane. Volpe has an 18 game hitting streak. The pitching is phenomenal. Waiting for the second half collapse a la 2022.
Right there with you, brother
Gracie Cashman nepo baby.
eh?
I would have given Stroman one more inning against the bottom of the lineup
weav-ah!
[singing] Luuuuuuke Weaver, I believe you can get me to the niiiiiinth
I suppose he’ll come to earth but where did this Jurickson Profar come from?
well well well
if it isn’t conan o’racist
I don’t love Weaver giving up these homers lately, but to be fair, they were both hit by really good hitters.
O’s must be so chapped that they’ve got four games in hand and winning all of them wouldn’t put them in first
