Sure don’t love this offense facing Woo after leaving 367 runners on base last night.
Volpe wuz robbed.
Woo!
Some good swings, nothing to show for them. Schmidt looks sharp.
What have they done to Clarke Schmidt?
Well, it can only get better, right? Will Warren: 4 IP, 6 H, 9 R, 4 BB, 4 K, 2 HR
He has allowed 24 runs in 14 innings during May.
Gotta love, “Okay, Clarke, give up a run, and you lose! Soooo..
go!”
Who’s announcing with Kay?
Todd Frazier.
Excited by every Schmidt start. Man, let this be for real!
As an early 80s kid, it feels right that the Yankees have a catcher who looks like Rick Cerrone.
I mean he looks enough like Munson too
Well there goes the perfecto
Why are they so worried about Dylan fucking Moore?!
ETA: I swear, as I wrote that, I thought, “Watch Moore take him deep now.”
Fun while it lasted Clarkey.
Even if you think Moore is a good hitter, you don’t throw him pitches way out of the strike zone like that.
At least now this saves us the time of having to watch any more.
What have they done to Schmidt?
Well there goes the shutout and the game
Schmidt isn’t long for this game, 2.2 and 59 pitches and counting.
Wow, Schmidt channeling Phil Hughes with that pitch count.
💤
mmm hmm, gonzalez is the new peralta
I assumed Woo would dominate, I just didn’t think he’d use so few pitches to do so.
That second strike to Soto was such an insanely good slider.
It’s amazing that Soto hit it that well.
Can we swap Grisham for a guy in a boot?

Uh… wha … ? Gleyber did wha …? Wake me when they win.
This is the Gleyb.
(Is that something? Are we still doing Mandalorian references? Is that just another fleeting signpost on the headlong sprint six feet under? Oh god, we’re all dying at the speed of light.)
Nice job by the bullpen today, three runs and counting.
Only Booner would use Andrews in a 1 run game because he believes in a conservation of assets so the guy going down must be used the game before.
Jasson in AA with 3 K’s.
So down 4-0, the CashBoone plan was to use the last guy in the bullpen, then a 3 run HR makes it 4-3 and they stick with the plan.
That really is exactly what happened, and it was hilariously stupid. Still, the good relievers also gave up runs, and the Yankees didn’t score again, so I guess it didn’t really matter in the end.
Coulda just used Burdi to start the inning.

2024 Yankees 33-17
Another well deserved loss. Now just don’t get swept.
And yes I know it is a four game series.
