  1. Repost from last thread.
John had a great voice for radio. ( and face, if you were to believe him.) In a busy kitchen, it cut through a lot of the noise so you could hear what was going on. We missed his calls after his retirement. My two favorite JS moments were, once after we won the alcs,I believe, He went live down to the lockeroom but the door was locked. You could hear him pounding the door as he harumphed, “Never, never in all my days!” He did not get in. The other was a day game where they cut away for a commercial break but no commercial came on. I guess not realizing he still had a hot mic, you could just picture him slowly shaking his head as we heard, ” Stupid people, stupid, stupid people.”

    1. Nice a little bit Scooter, a little bit Russ Hodges, and a lot John. I just wish he was able to adapt a little, like learn to use an iPad or accepting that exit velo was a thing.

    1. Murakami’s facing the Angels and Jose Soriano, who is due for further regression from his still microscopic ERA, so he’s good for at least three homers tonight. But hey, Judge historically owns the O’s, so maybe he’ll keep pace.

    1. Sometimes having Boras as an agent bringing you to free agency doesn’t work out that well.

    2. Heck, he [Boras] took a kid to college years ago, refusing an excellent offer; first day on campus the kid broke his ankle, basically done as far as big money goes.

    1. I think I would still have preferred Cam willing his way to another strike. But yes, he definitely bizarrely COMPLETELY lost the strike zone.

  2. Schlittler didn’t have it and yet only gave up 1 run. I’m beginning to think he’s a good pitcher.

Is this team that good or a repeat of prior Boone seasons where the swoon is coming.
