This series is going to be buh-roo-tal.
Is that Teddy Randazzo’s son
“Will Warren struggling with inconsistency,” a euphemism.
Code D
Will Warren No D. A three out swing. A Yankee feature. A Boone feature.
Wells home run. Fourth game in a row every run scored via the home run.
This ump calls balls strikes and strikes balls.
I don’t understand, who kidnapped Will Warren and replaced him with a pitcher
You ejected that remark prematurely
.
always, it seems
Another scintillating Yankee offensive performance. Are they all just swinging for solo home runs? And Walker is the worst of the three pitchers the Yankees will see this series. And he’s not a left hander.
And another magical night for the bullpen; as I say, there are no magic-inducing pitching coaches. Blue Jays about to put more distance between themselves and the Bronx Bummers.
Inept Yankee hitting, inept Yankee defense, inept Yankee relief work. Two lucky singles in the bottom of the 6th and most disappointing Yankee Austin Wells strikes out. Fourth game in a row Yankees have only scored via the home run.
Two more errors today. Boone’s teams always play tight.
Yankee pen 4 runs in 1 1/3.
Awkward swing by Judge, but they finally score a non-HR run on his sac fly.
Did I say 4? That must’ve been a typo. I meant 6. Cash holding on to his reclamation projects like Hamilton and Hill. The same time we got Gallo, Philly got Schwarber.

Impressive
And the bullpen strikes again!
The Phillies have a potent offense, but, well, come on, your good relievers can’t suck just as bad as your bad relievers.
Cash better be bringing in at LEAST two new relievers. Why is Winans even on the team if he is NEVER going to pitch?
Effross looked awesome…then he got hurt. Just give it up, he’s not good any more. The many injuries have ruined him. GIVE UP ON HIM. I’d sooner they just bring back fucking Adam Ottavino than give Effross any more rope.
And Effross is clearly more PROFESSIONAL than the other guys. He just also sucks.
Lovely. You can only get so much out of mediocre bullpen guys before they return to who they are.
Did I say 6? I meant 10. Effross had a 6.75 era in the minors this year but somehow he got promoted. Unsurprisingly his era here is 8.44. Guess Cash saw something.
MLBTR Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports that the Yankees are looking to add an infielder who can hit from the right side. Kirschner specifically adds that New York is interested in switch-hitting Twins utilityman Willi Castro. He also floats Washington’s Amed Rosario as a player whom the front office has liked.
Kirschner adds that the Yankees — like virtually every contender — are also pursuing bullpen help. He lists Pittsburgh’s David Bednar and the Minnesota trio of Jhoan Durán, Griffin Jax and Danny Coulombe among the presumably dozens of bullpen options whom the Yanks are considering.
McMahon platooning with Rosario makes some sense. Rosario should be cheap to acquire. They can throw Peraza into the trade.
The team seems broken and bandages may not be enough. They make too may errors to begin with, too many sloppy plays that don’t get an error.
It’s years past the time to dump Boone. They do this every year. I get that every team is going to have a cooler stretch, but with this team it’s always like 2 months and just brutal.
The overall talent and other teams collapsing has let them get away with it and reinforced their arrogant attitudes. I don’t want to root against the Yankees and wasting another year of judge, but this feels like the year it could really hurt them. Boston and Toronto are good and the AL west is definitely good enough to grab WC spots.
Injuries have been a major issue, and the complete collapse of the bp wasn’t really foreseeable, but offensively, the known issues coming into the season were never addressed and were/are major issues now.
Cashman also owns this.
Katie S “Yankees are 14-22 (.389) since June 13.
That’s the 2nd-worst record in MLB during that span, ahead of only the Nationals (11-24, .314)”
Worse than Colorado or the White Sox.
I wonder if the Yanks might try to move Grisham whose trade value is relatively high.
Someone’s missing
Aaron Judge is dealing with an elbow issue, per #Yankees manager Aaron Boone. That’s why he’s not in the lineup today

He should be back by the start of next season, at least, if he gets TJS now.
Presumably you try to catch lightning in a bottle and call up Jones, right?
Soto only missed a few games last June with an elbow issue. Wait for Dr Ahmed and the imaging.
Oh, of course, but come on, this season is cursed. It’s gotta be TJS.
Spencer Jones, by the way, is dealing with back spasms, because of course he is.
