  1. This is what Fitts looked like in his first start. A LOT of hard contact. I’m not too worried about him being some great pitcher for the Sox. He at least doesn’t seem to be a DUMB pitcher, who does sadly matter a lot.

  2. Unsurprisingly last 7 days the Yankees 3rd worst in OPS and 4th worst in BA. There’s no way so many hitters have been SO BAD without input from Boone and Rowson. Gleyber and Verdugo career worst years. Volpe at age 23 regressing. DJ a horror show.
Boone gets the kind of free pass every politician would envy.
Going back 15 days Yankees 15th worst in BA, 9th worst in OPS.

  3. phenom bunting with a runner on second and two out is the CHICKEN SHIT PLAY OF THE SEASON. phenom just admitting he sucks and has no chance of getting a hit and driving the run in. He should lose his starting job just for that alone no to mention that he’s hitting 125 the last week or two.

  4. These announcers are fully fellating Boston. That was a nice catch that any competent RF should make.
Let’s not even play next year and give Boston the 2025 Championship.

  5. RAB The Yankees have scored three runs in their last 20 innings and all three were the automatic runner in extra innings.

Just the normal ebbs and flows. If we play Houston we might get negative runs.

    1. Yeah, while keeping a pretty good Red Sox offense down is nice, the Yankees offense should be putting some hurt on this staff.

    2. Again, this is a very different Boston bullpen now that Slaten and Martin are here. Them being pathetic against Fitts is one thing (it was embarrassing as hell). Them being pathetic against Slaten and Martin isn’t a big deal.

  6. Judge’s was uncomfortable post-game on-field Q-&-A. Every question brought a shrug and a look of “I don’t know, man, I mean – yes, that guy’s always great, this was a team win…”
It was the look of a guy thinking “I’ve let a pile of games go by where I did nothing, nd this was one damn home run, the pitch was just grooved, I have no real assurance that this means I’m out of it.”
    It was interesting.

    1. That whole broadcast team was amateur hour. I turned it off knowing that interview was going to be cringe inducing.

  7. Martian day, Stanton sits, Judge DH, Waldo still suspended and the worse Volpe hits the more solidly the job is his.

As I said he should be benched for bunting last night with a man on second and two out in a scoreless game. The most chicken shit play of the year, an admission that he knows he can’t hit.

    1. It’s going to be incredibly frustrating when Volpe goes to another team and turns into a good hitter.
