I didn’t realize Schmidt was 28 already. An “old” man. I hope the Yankees can at least get a game in this series!
The orioles have been playing terribly since the ASB; 7 games worse than the Yankees. I wonder if their RLOW is full of fans letting off steam the way RLYW has been.
Crazy that we have the best record in the AL with this manager, LF, 1b, SS….
Judge!
I am so, so happy that Verdugo got the start tonight.
SO happy.
but he is going for that ground ball record
2007 mutts, 2011 townies, the 64 Phillies are calling
Schmidt falling down the playoff rotation.
Another unintentional intentional walk to Judge.
Wells falling down in September has been disappointing.
He could use a few days off.
Isn’t it weird that Boone is punting this game?
It obviously won’t really matter, but it’s still odd, right?
he tried
Thanks for the reminder, Gleyber.
Is Gleyber the dumbest human being alive, or is he somehow even dumber than that? Discuss.
It was wonderfully stupid. So hilariously, hilariously stupid.
I was just about to comment how Torres was rebuilding his value for free agency quite nicely, then he does that.
Hamilton is picking an awful time to suck.
Another guy thrown out at the plate.
Benefit of the doubt, Gleyber is playing eleven-dimensional chess here.
If he stays at third, the O’s walk Judge and get the slumping Wells to end the inning still up 4-3 with Judge not due to bat again.
Instead, he goes, either scoring or making a TOOTBLAN that empties the bases so the Orioles are fooled into pitching to Judge with a chance to tie the game.
Okay, so Judge didn’t have a chance to tie the game, and he didn’t homer either. Oh well. Gleyber tried.
How many more years of Stanton?
Too many.
More than all but 3 guys on the team (Judge, Cole, and Rodon).
At least LeMahieu and Stroman will be off the roster sooner (only signed through 2026).
Boo loss.
Fitting that Verdugo made the last out. I can see that happening when they lose the playoff game, ending the season. Post game, Boone saying ‘we gotta get Verdugo going’.
get him going to port authority with a ticket to anywhere
The hilarious thing is that Verdugo is NOT EVEN GOING TO BE HERE NEXT SEASON! It is so crazy how much they are bending over backwards to protect the guy.
Maybe he just wanted to give Verdugo a shot to be on the field for the pennant winner. A reward. And Jasson will play most of the games going forward.
Dodgers bottom of the 9th, 1 run in, first and second no outs, Ohtani on deck.

Oh, Rojas grounds inot a triple play.
Judge SLG at 699, trying to become the first Yankees player since Mickey Mantle in 1956 with a 700 SLG percentage.
