    1. I mean, to be fair to him, we’re only talking 9 years of stats, right? So it’s pathetic, to be sure, but you know there HAD to be some defense-first shortstop in the 1930s who probably grounded to second every at-bat.

    1. I dunno. Usually I’d agree but I’m not sure the way Stanton has been hitting that The Martian is a downgrade.

  1. Yankees five runs in the last 28 innings, one was a Manfred Man. I think it’s like 10/12 starters they faced have shut them down. Every once in a while they put up double digits bu the rest they’ve been pretty pathetic.

  2. Ohtani homered and stole another base tonight. Now 52/52 and counting, and it still isn’t one of his top 3 seasons.

    Or, in classic RLYW complaint-speak:
    Ohtani is an underachiever. $700 million contract and he hasn’t thrown a pitch all year.
