These are truly some impressive young pitchers that the Mets have. They should be about to bounce back next season well.
It would be nice if Cam outpitched them all today, though.
Game delayed a big twenty minutes.
The Schlitt looks kinda flat
4-seam at least. Cutter looks good
Amazing Wells plays every game despite being one of the worst two hitters in baseball.
The rumours of Rice’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Last 15 games 943, last 7 1099
Barry Bonds moved up to 6 in the lineup to give Spence protection.
6-9 in the lineup could be 1-5 on most teams…….in single A.
How do you not challenge that, Wells?! He is just fucking Schlittler out of extra outs.
48 pitches through three instead of 45 isn’t the end of the world, but nor is it ideal.
Worst hitter in baseball, our catcher, misses an ABS challenge on Lindor, bringing Soto to the plate. No harm, no foul.
Some is forgiven
So we’re not seeing a new version of Here Comes Mr Jordan or Heaven Can Wait where Barry Bonds is only retired.
Way too many pitches for a (to this point) scoreless game.
A few more runs would be nice. Rice and Wells, solo HRs, and that’s it. Two runs on Saturday, 2 runs so far today. I believe Schlittler has if not the worst run support among qualifiers then he has the second worst.
Is Caballero just fucking DUMB?
A fish rots from the head down. This is a dumb team, from Judge playing a month with a small injury into a major one, and on and on with this team.
Rays pounding the Astros.
A few tack-on runs would be nice.
Don’t want to hit for McMahon or Wells in a 1 run game? I guess it’s for defense.
It is a 2 run game. Wells HR does count. 😎
Yay, win.
Schlittler will have a nasty bruise on the back of that leg.
It very nearly ended the Yankee season right there. That was almost directly on his pitching hand.
Vlad had his first HR in Toronto in 2026.
thanks for nothing, houston
As folks start talking up Cam for MVP, I find myself feeling sorry for Bobby Witt Jr. that he isn’t on a contender. Sort of the new Mike Trout. And yeah, they made their choices to stay with their teams, but their teams aren’t doing right by them or by their fans. Meanwhile, Witt could make a big difference in this lineup. And he’s just 26 and under contract for another 8 years.
What would the Royals take for him? Would a package of Lombard, Dominguez, Kilby, Lagrange, and Hess get it done?
No
You lost me at Dax. Dax for all!
