The Blue Jays seriously aren’t even that GOOD. You see them play other teams, they lose to all sorts of other teams, and they ESPECIALLY lose when they play other good teams. They are playing IKF at third base, for fuck’s sake! They just own the Yankees, though. It’s so embarrassing.
I suppose the argument is that the Blue Jays are good at making contact, and the Yankee pitchers struggle against teams that are good at making contact? That makes SOME sense, right?
Nice to see Stanton not playing for some fucking reason.
Does Chapel Roan owe the Yogi Berra estate royalties?
Subway:
It’s just another day and it’s not over
‘Til it’s over,
Vladdy really reminds me of Stanton in that neither guy seems to be the brightest hitter, but they can also just hit ANYONE. They can also be RETIRED by anybody, but they really can just hit ANYbody.
I still love Ben Rice, but while he’s mired in a huge slump, why must Boone stick with him in the #2 slot?
Judge warning track power.
I mean, come the fuck on, ONE of these fucking crushed line drives has got to fucking land one of these days, right?
It’s really staggering how every Yankee pitcher has such great stuff, and yet they all insist on throwing, like, seven pitches per at-bat.
Every outfielder we face is a Golden Glover.
I’m convinced I’m going to take my ICE sign up bonus and buy a Nissan Rogue.
Leadoff walks are so fucking painful.
Did I say leadoff walks are painful? I should have said BACK-TO-BACK fucking leadoff walks are EXTREMELY painful. Why are these guys so, so fucking stupid?
It is so annoying.
Giving up a run on NO hits is so fucking annoying.
More crappy infield defense cost Gil a run.
Yeah, Volpe really fucked Jazz over on that play.
phenom’s defense has been charitably mediocre lately. His hitting has been consistent.

When Rice is slumping, just bat Judge 2nd. It’s an easy fix.
What did Judge think he could do with that pitch?
And he’s been SO GOOD recently at NOT expanding the zone, and there, he expanded it like CRAZY.
It’s not like the Blue Jays are some great defensive team, either, as we have seen in this game.
The Blue Jays are in first place purely because they’ve just owned the Yankees. They’re not that good, but since they beat the Yankees every time, they’re in first place. It’s weird.
One earned run in 14 innings against a good pitcher and an OK pitcher, no aces.. Don’t tell me how many runs the team has scored, tell me if they disappear more than they should.
Judge would have needed three relays to get it to the plate in about three minutes.
Outstanding play Cody and Wellz.
Okay, they can call this one now.
They’ll never call it, of course, but, I mean, it’s not going to STOP raining now, right?
Yankees have 3 hits so far today, 4 yesterday. If this game end like this and they score 12 tomorrow, which they won’t, they will have averaged 5 runs a game this series though they sucked 2/3 games. Total runs in the season can be very misleading.
75% chance of rain until 6pm, then 50% all night.
Weird, right? I know they WON’T call it, but they really SHOULD call it.
They might have to.
A one-run game in the middle of a playoff race? The umpires will gladly wait, like, five hours to avoid calling this one.
But yes, obviously, they SHOULD call it.
Mother Nature get credit for a save?
Not raining downtown now
Game set to resume at 4:30 PM.
Brightening up in the Sound Shore area.
They should try to make the bottom of the sixth take as long as possible. Of course, this lineup doesn’t know how to DO that, so it’ll be tricky, but still.
4:30
Some runs would be nice.
Dude, your legs are contused. Don’t try to steal bases!
If only Jazz hadn’t tried to steal with his bum knees like a moron.
Yankee relievers have surrendered runs in 8 straight innings. Toronto relievers have a 6+ era in the last few weeks.
Who should you bet?
Odds Yankees score 9%
A sac-fly, the best we could get.
Nice AB Ryan.
Our pen is worse than theirs and theirs is bad. Weaver is the the guy who sucked before we got him.
Weaver is weird. When’s he good, he’s great. When he sucks, it’s usually for a couple of games. So I would not have used him here, but I get that the other options are bad, too.
But it especially sucks because the Jays have owned him in particular.
Can anyone in the pen ever have a clean inning?
He absolutely can NOT be allowed to face Springer here.
Okay, not even Boone is dumb enough to let Weaver face Springer as the tying run.
Those balls are infuriating. Cruz simply cannot be missing in those spots.
The trash bullpen at work.
Now against a tough lefty. Very bad.
Whew!
Obviously glad he got out of it, but how do you throw those pitches to Springer?!
Addison Barger is a real serial killer type name
I guess you need to let Cruz start the eighth, right?
Moar runz, pleze.
At least stretch the inning out. More rain is coming!
Rough game for Grisham.
Why isn’t Goldy hitting here?
That was some shitty managing letting Rice face Little.
Boone strikes again.
Is it possible for a reliever to have a 6 up 6 down inning?
Nasty pitch to get Judge.
Judge now below 1.100 OPS.
That probably wasn’t strike 3 to Judge. But way to go Yankees hitters, 3 Ks against that bullpen.
Their terrible relievers strike out the side.
The approach is all wrong. If only they had a hitting coach.
Cruz to start, and then Hill for the lefties?
I mean, they’ve already scored off of their bullpen, right?
Come on, Cruz, drop that splitter a bit lower.
Still too high. With two strikes, it should be below the strike zone!
He then throws the splitter with no strikes that he should have thrown to Vlad! Grrrr….
Can’t avoid allowing the leadoff runner to reach.
These pitchers are just too stupid.
What role does the pitching coach play in this?
When the pitcher is missing badly, he obviously isn’t following the plan.
I can’t even knock him TOO much for the Vladdy single. That was just a beautiful piece of hitting.
He still should have put the splitter lower.
Why not Hill here?
I don’t like Bednar for four outs when the first out is a lefty.
And he threw 36 pitches less than 48 hours ago.
Yep, that, too.
Bednar.
The yankees pitchers make the worst waste pitches.
Wild pitch, sure, put the runner in scoring position why not.
Get ahead, then start fucking around… the Yankee way.
Had to to that Bednar.
That was a fucking naaaaasty splitter.
Okay, how about giving Bednar some more breathing room! I hate the sight of Springer or Barger getting up in the ninth.
You haaaaave to pinch hit Stanton for Caballero, right?
Slater can take over in the ninth in the field.
The umpires must fucking hate Jazz.
Fuck, is Stanton hurt?
Pinch hit Stanton for Volpe!
Why is Stanton not hitting in this inning?!
Why didn’t Caballero run?
Is Caballero just so confident that Volpe will make an out that he’s not even going to bother?
Would have been nicer earlier in the count, dude.
Okay, Clement and Kirk will pinch hit. Who else?
Wasn’t there some kind of delay of game infraction on that AB.
What is up with these umpires lately?
Can’t have Jazz and Volpe in the lineup in 2026. One or the other.
Ball 2 for a pitcher friendly ump was a strike.
I thought that maybe they would just do the Yankees a solid and use no pinch hitters.
Hey, Boone, maybe only use this dude in save situations.
He’s just one of those guys who needs for it to mean something for him to lock in.
Like with 99%+ of closers. Heck, Mariano hated coming in for non-save situations.
Yeah, and the numbers for Mo bear that out. Significantly more runs allowed in non-save situations in his career.
Nicely done, Bednar, he made it look easy in the ninth. Now win tomorrow, pluck some Blue Jay feathers.
So Kirk can strike out.
Huge attaboy to Cruz and Bednar for this one. Gil, too. Six innings of one-run ball? Yes, please!
They won while hitting no HRs. It can be done.
With one earned run.
The Dodgers go from throwing a no-no with 2-out in the ninth to their bullpen imploding after Yamamoto was lifted. Nice!
