  1. The only Yankees to not strike out so far are Ramos, who walked, and Jones, who weakly flew out on the first pitch.

I’m so glad that the Yankees decided to take their shitty offense and just do nothing different.

Who needs to adjust the lineup? Who needs to give Ramos a day off for Cabby? Why change anything? Just keep running the same lineup out there and it’s bound to work at some point, right?

  2. I mean, there is at least a CHANCE that Fried is just dealing with inflammation from the original injury. I bet Fried is just fucked, but there is a CHANCE that this is just a problem with the original injury just acting up.

  3. i saw that la is booing tucker pretty badly. i remember the narrative by dodgers fans that the mistreatment of our stars was why no one wanted to come to ny anymore.

    how the turntables

    1. brian, i have the misfortune to know at least 2 passionate dodgers fans that keep me informed about the various current narratives about what is going wrong in the bronx.

    1. Again, to be clear, the umpire clearly DID fuck him up on the play, but, again, if the umpire is blocking your way, tell him to move. So it’s still on Jazz ultimately.

  4. See, Grisham knew he was going to come right back with a strike, and this time he was ready for it. That’s good, to be sure, but he could have done that on the first pitch, too!

But, again, I get that it is tacky to knock a guy after he hit a home run.

  5. What a fucking terrible challenge by Jones. Holy shit was that bad. It wasn’t as bad as that one Ben Rice one early on in the season, but it’s pretty fucking close to that.

Holy shit, dude, what in the fucking world are you doing?!

  6. Terrible challenge. Clearly a strike. Isn’t Jones supposed to know the strike zone?
Last 15 games Spence is hitting 160/236/320 with only 1 home run. Is he really better than Jasson?

    1. i’m fairly certain dominguez would’ve miffed that routine fly ball to Jones just now

    2. I think Jones’ ability to play center in a pinch (and play a good left and right vs. whatever it is that Dominguez does out there) gives him the nod over Jasson right now.

But yes, he needs to start hitting again.

    3. OTOH Dominguez has been shite at Scranton. Volpe also. Garverbatting third for Scranton tonight. Is that a sign?

  7. I give Rodon a lot of shit (and I think it’s well-deserved), but I’ll give him this much, the guy really does have GREAT stuff. He’s a moron about it sometimes, but the STUFF is so good every game, even right off of the IL.

    1. He’s turning the corner, just a little hiccup and he’ll be all the way there. He can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    1. It’s clearly me, but I’ve misread many fly balls expecting Yankee HR only to met with middling fly ball out… Blasted torpedo bats…

  8. “A strong six innings for Baz.” No a typical pathetic impotent six inning for the Yankees. One run, two hits.

Last 4 games, regulation only, 4 runs scored, ONE RUN A GAME. They suck and they’re getting worse.

    1. did you hear about Kay suggesting to and about Arod that Arod come back for 1 PA to restart the HOF selection process? That would be a very Arod move – ie hilarious, backfire instantaneously, somehow be the cause of the impending 2027 labor strike / lockout, cause Jeter to take a minority position in the Rockies only to be ousted by a tandem of DePo and Bill Plaschke, so on and so forth. I’m in favor!

    1. Every once in a long while he just strokes one to left and gets a hit and then back to swinging for the fences.

    1. i thought the same thing, though McMahon probably would’ve killed the rally last inning where Goldy walked

  9. Unbelievable this team, somebody does something very good so Heliot strikes out with the bases loaded after being ahead 3-0, now Headrick walks the tying run a 182 hitter.

    1. What? Headrick at 25 pitches in 2/3 of an inning? Dude!

He just didn’t have it tonight. I seriously do worry about the overusage fucking with him.

    1. Boy, do they love to take strike three. Suarez is TERRIBLE, so that inning was particularly bad.

WHY IN THE WORLD IS JAZZ BATTING SIXTH STILL?!

    1. I think it’s just about the pitcher’s comfortability. If a guy worries him, I don’t mind him pitching around him. He went RIGHT after Henderson. Clearly, Gunnar didn’t worry him.
