Hot shit pitching prospect making his Major League debut? Okay, they’re fucked. Hopefully Rodon won’t suck, at least.
Any change of a long thunder storm?
Reds FO wanted to give their prospect a soft team to start his career so their analytics guys looked at the alternatives and figured the best team to build up his confidence would be the Yankees.
phenom 3/31 and 2 of those hits were pure luck. Once it got to 2 strikes the strikeout was the lock of the century.
This is embarrassing for the number one offense in the AL.
I’ll bet they don’t go 0-12 wRISP tonight.
Stroman AA 3.2ip 5r 10h 2bb
He’s ready.
to retire
115 ABs for a guy hitting 157 Cash?
Rice breaks streak 11 scoreless
When you least expect it.
I’ll concede that Burns has a small edge on Alan Winans.
Yankee relievers love to walk guys.
Volpe is so fucking frustrating.
Yankees have never come back from 3 runs down this season but have blown a few 3+ leads. The pen has been crap lately.
Well that sucks
Ah, Loaisiga. Thanks, for nothing.
I smell a loss incoming.
If it’s a battle of the pens bet the other guys.
The Boys of Shea just blew a 3-run lead, now down 5-3.
Reds 0-30 when trailing after 6. All they need to do is get to extra innings and they’ll have their first win.
Is there a rule against the Yankees adding on to a lead?
Ah. Just tuned in and I see the Yanks have not yet addressed their little “sucking” problem.
Volpe is so fucking pathetic.
phenom with his 3rd K. Reds with 13 Ks just like yesterday. Just like yesterday the Yankees have only scored in 1 of 9 innings.
Smart move Jazz.
Rays and Toronto on their way to easy wins.
Lose here or in the 10th?
the umps suck but instead of arguing about strikes have they considered just hitting better?
So if they get to extra innings, now Peraza has to hit. Awful.
You mean DJ, Peraza was already in the game.
they’ve scored once in 10 extra innings with the man on second this year so I think they’re due and Peraza is going to get it done.
Chokingly bad.
Wells is so disappointing.
Nice job, Wells. The Yankees continue to show they are the masters of not caring about the situation. Hack away, hack away, hack away, all.
13-26 worst in baseball on the road in extras since this rule.
i wonder why that could be?
Hmmm!?
Judge started off the season as clutch with RISP, he seems to have been mediocre for a while now.
anyone surprised?
As I was saying.
Chokiest chokers ever. Another disaster day with RISP. Now 18 for last 110? Chokers
Leiter threw 27 pitches last night
Let’s get it over, quick. I have wet paint I need to watch dry.
A loss is a loss, of courses, of course
And no can make them win in extras
That is, of course, unless someone makes an error
Jays win, Rays win. That collar is getting tighter around the Yankees neck.
Reds looking to make this extra painful.
The agony prolonged as more ineptness awaits us.
The one thing the Yankees do best
There it is! The clutch wild pitch we needed. Elsewhere, Mark Leiter is back out there, for some odd reason only Boone can make up.
A firing offense for any other team.
This is so fucking embarrassing.
He thought the game was over. He was right in his prediction.
Boone should’ve tried to get 3 from Weaver and Devin.
Williams only threw nine pitches.
Exactly considering how many pitches Leiter threw last night.
Boone made his worst move (non-move) ever, and there are a lot to choose from. Mark Leiter after 27 pitches last night and 14 in his first inning of pitching tonight comes back out for another inning.
Judge should demand a new manager, or a trade.
A mediocre team cannot overcome a bad manager.
Yankees got two hits from the 5th thru the 11th. And one was a dropped line drive.
Katie S Yankees in xtra innings this season.

It sure seems like player friendly Boone has instilled a sense of panic in this team.
Their approach is no approach.
I’ve long thought the Yankees needed a mental hitting coach to give them a hint of an approach,
12-27 in xtra inning road games since 2020, 1-6 in xtra inning games this season, 6 games under their Pythag.
Boone needed to get more out of some combo of Cruz, Weaver and Devin. Leiter threw 27 pitches last night. Even Todd Frazier pointed oit Devin only threw 9 pitches.
1-9 RISP, yesterday 0-12.
Boone “Never considered going back with Devin.”
Boone “I’m more encouraged by what I’ve seen from the offense over the last 5days.”
Katie S Yankees have 5 losses when leading by multiple runs at the start (top) of the 7th inning.
That’s the most in MLB this season.
