Heyman says that the plan is to get a righthanded outfielder, and keep Dominguez in the minors for the season, but, of course, if an injury happens, he’d be called up and become a starter.
I think it makes a lot of sense. A guy like Randal Grichuk likely has more of a place on this roster than Dominguez.
Righthanded outfielder
Waldo
Rosario
Then you can either get a righthanded first baseman like Goldy, and have Rice be the backup catcher, or you can have the backup catcher there.
When Volpe is back, then you just send Waldo to the minors.
Easy peasy.
Another prospect broken by the Yankees.
He’s so young that I don’t see it as breaking him, and more about extending how long they have him under control, while helping him develop while playing every day in the minors.
No one could have seen Grisham’s development as a hitter coming.
Let’s wait a couple of months to see if Grisham’s offensive development is real or a fluke. Will his offense revert to the mean? Will his defense continue to suck, -2 OAA, 29th percentile.
