Big win last night. It would be nice if they could, you know, keep it up.
Very interesting lineup against lefties.
Not sure Cole will be happy with his defense, but he can help his own cause by not giving up four home runs.
Last 15 games 3.75 era for Cole
Would Boone consider dropping Cole to the 4 hole in the rotation for the playoffs?
Is it June again?
Ugh
Gotta be tipping his pitches
and/or sequence. he also looks flat as shit
Seven home runs last 2 games…so far
Wells 0/18, 19 now, Sanchez can hit LHPs a bit, why is Wells in the starting lineup?
Wells is essential to Cole’s excellent performance.
Wells turned the wrong corner and got mugged.
Great job by Cole. And the Yankees offense as well, making Thornton throw 28 pitches in 3 innings.
We are now looking at Schlittler, dead arm Fried, and home run derby Cole as the Wild Card rotation.
Not ideal!!!
Rodon
One run and two well-struck balls caught, so bad luck.
what a terrible outing
And Cole gives the run right back on a mere single, not a HR. Cole out, Yarbrough in. Let the heavens open.
Bonds quieting down. Wells 0/20 but must play every day.
66 pitches thru 6 for Thornton
ffs
Thornton in inning 7 at 75 pitches, which is usually where a Yankees starter is through 4.
Well done, Volpe.
Oh Barry
Volpe back into a pumpkin.
Sitting Rice, Garcia, and McMahon for PGold, Heliot, and Rosario makes the Yankees a stronger or b weaker. Playing Boston with all LH starters except cy young Sonny Gray and Whitlock Chapman in the pen sounds like all L
Well, we can only hope Sunday will be better. This was an atrocious game.
Especially with Jazz out the Yankees can expect little to no offense from Bonds, Lombard, McMahon/Rosario/Cabby or the catcher who is the worst hitter in baseball. And against LHPs sitting Rice and/or Garcia makes us worse.
When did Cash resign Kriske? Tim Hill 4.72 era, Brooks Kriske II 12.60
Yeah Kay but they have a lot more playoff slots the last few years.
Cole was bad, and it went downhill from there.
i had only penned them in for 2 of 3 but didn’t expect them to tank the pythag
