If they couldn’t score WITH Judge, I’m sure they’ll do great WITHOUT Judge!
In all seriousness, obviously a hurt Judge was a problem, and it is good to get it handled. A bone bruise in his ribs is OBVIOUSLY going to fuck up his production, so he needs to get that handled. It makes a lot of those hits that JUST died at the track make a lot more sense now, right? And his overall slump, which I wasn’t all THAT concerned with to begin with, now is REALLY not a concern.
Sucks for this series, though, as I doubt Judge gets into these three games, and the Guardians pitching is strong.
Don’t know why they’re so blithe about it. Ribs famously heal SLOWLY!
Anyway, they’ve traditionally done well against the Indians, let’s hope that odd kind of tendency continues!
Yeah, I was wondering about that, too.
He [Judge] should have taken care of it when it first happened.
BTW It is Lou Gehrig Day.
Stanton was day to day. Fried was day to day. Judge is day to day.
As we discover on the train, it’s all the same f*ing day.
As KO would say, we’re all day-to-day.
Quote Investigator “ Announcer Vin Scully, during Friday’s broadcast of the Chicago Cubs-Los Angeles Dodgers game: “Andre Dawson has a bruised knee and is listed as day-to-day. . . . Aren’t we all?””
If things go south by the end of the week we can have the third best record in the AL.
Of course if they finish behind Tampa it makes no difference if they have the 2nd best or 3rd best or 4th best….
There were people online who thought PGold should be released and Grichuk retained.
I wonder if Judge was hesitant to sit because half the lineup wasn’t hitting.
MLB should have nipped those stupid dugout masquerades in the bud.
Not good, Cam.
AWFUL luck on that Wells flyball. It just hung up there and hung up there even though he hit it SO hard.
Goldy 4, Whatevers 3.
PGold now second on the team in OPS.
I believe that these are tied for the most runs that Schlittler has ever allowed. So when he blows the lead the next inning, it will be the new most runs he has ever allowed.
If Schlittler just sucks tonight, why not simply pull him? Sometimes guys just don’t have it.
God, Rosario is a BUTCHER at third.
This is just a nightmare outing.
June 2. June swoon.
Just an awful start by Cam. Dreadful in fact. As Boone snoozes.
Now he takes him out. 🤦♂️
A. He clearly just didn’t have it tonight. They were crushing him every inning, just sometimes right at guys.
B. While I’m totally cool with “sometimes you don’t have it,” you have to worry about an injury any time a guy just doesn’t have it. Hopefully it was just a normal “just didn’t have it” night.
I mean, all said and done, if four earned runs is your bottom of the barrel, that’s really not THAT bad.
Good for Headrick.

Ruh roh.
Why so many 4/28 and 5/4?
Has Jazz ever gotten a hit with a runner in scoring position?
Did Jazz swing at any strikes?
It was baffling. I don’t know WHAT he was thinking during that at-bat.
Life in the Jazz lane.
Jesus Christ, Wells, what kind of fucking 3-1 swing was that?!
At ball 4.
It was just about the worst possible 3-1 swing. As if he had never swung a bat before.
The Yankees would have only 4 hits and 0 runs without Goldy.
Hill, can you hold the runner on? No.
That was an awful bounce. Argh.
Good job, Hill.
I guess you can blame him for the first hit, but that Ramirez double was just AWFUL luck.
Very Posada-esque baserunning by Ramirez. Let’s hope that that matters!
The Rays lost.
It’s SOMEthing!
They got their asses KICKED tonight.
Against a righty, why stick with Rosario?
Sigh, Volpe.
March went out like a lion,
And along come pretty little May!
May was full of promises,
June is bustin’ out all over!
Lou Gehrig Day, Judge hurt, Cam throwing only 5 FB 98+.
The Blue Jays also lost.
Gold Glove phenom
103mph. Why does he suck?
shades of Chapman
More awful from a mediocre bullpen.
The rare tease from Doval
I truly think they should send Doval back to the minors. Let him work on some shit there.
They have to do something for Lagrange.

The Yankees are sending Aaron Judge (bone bruise in right ribcage) to see a specialist for additional testing.
“It’s kind of a unique spot,” Boone said. “We’ll have the specialist probably look at it tomorrow and see where we’re at and see how he feels with it.”
Back before or after the ASB?
He should have taken care of it when it first happened. And let us hope and 🙏 it is only a bone bruise.
